This was a great find! I wanted a sit-down restaurant near the Washington University campus and found Barrio. Great menu with... a good variety of options, good drinks, fast kitchen and wonderful environment. My family had dinner there and all of us(adults and kids) were happy with our dinner. What a horrible experience! We were there for just over an hour before we got our food after ordering. The bartender, who is the... person that brings your food, came over and asked if we had ever gotten our food. She knew very well we had not because I heardher talking to someone else just before she came over. After we finally got our food, two hamburgers, she offered to refund myice tea and the hard seltzer we got (which was the wrong flavor). Considering the bill was $45 for two hamburgers, an ice tea,and one hard seltzer, it was really insulting. This was my first and last time to this restaurant. The former home to the Demun Oyster Bar, which was a favorite of ours, and was very happy with the new establishment. Great... smash burgers, smoked chicken sandwiches and fries. The fried pickles were tasty as well. The cocktails are fantastic. We satoutside and soaked in the neighborhood ambience. We got a slice of Hank's Chocolate Cake and it was chocolatastic! The owner wasvery nice and informative on the menu and drinks. We will be back! Read more
Excellent food, good drinks, bartender was very talkative and friendly. Excellent wait staff as well. Drinks aren't cheap, but... they're worth it. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy place to have a great meal and watch the Blues game. Read more
Visited here the other night with a group of friends for a quiet evening of drinks and dinner. The staff is very customer... oriented, the food is quite excellent, and the location is like no other. Very relaxing space, good service, and great menu. The food is prepared with 100% fresh ingredients, and the meal presentation... is outstanding. Went here and loved it! The food was great and so were the drinks. The drinks were pretty strong. We got the chips & salsa trio,... churros, cilantro lime pork wings, stuffed grape peppers and taquito. The decor inside is cute too and the ambiance is nice -low lighting and small candles on the tables. There?s not a ton of seating either so that should be kept in mind for largerparties - definitely would want to call ahead. Read more
Have visited this place 2 times with our kids. The burgers are so good! Get the cheese fries! Love the atmosphere and the... windows open on a nice fall day! Highly recommend!! Read more
