This was a great find when we were staying at the Clayton Plaza. Very good food and helpful staff. I liked that the music/TV... volume was at a reasonable level and allowed our family to have conversations. The back room looks really cool and would begreat for a private party. Stopped in during happy hour. Ordered the "lightly fried" ravioli which looked liked the cook forgot them in the fryer. The... chicken tenders were fine and the slider burger was good(but small, which the waitress did explain). Never saw our firstwaitress again who failed to explain that certain beers were exempt from their BOGO happy hour beer/wine offer, and unknowinglymy husband did not order a beer that was included. Had to ask for a glass of water. Also had to go looking for our bill.Attached is a picture of the ravioli that was on the verge of being burnt. We were the only patrons in the restaurant section.Maybe things would have been better in the bar area. Won't be back. Read more
I?ve had a few friends tell me that they hired a new head chef and the burgers he prepare are the best in Saint Louis. Being the... burger enthusiast, I am. I had to try. Our server was attentive. I had the Cowboy Burger, my wife had the Late Night and my sonhad the Chicken Street Tacos. It was a flavor profile beyond this world. Perfectly executed spices and the bourbon barbecuesauce. I had to sample all the food at the table. Three different profiles, all executed beautifully. I would say they not onlyhave the best burgers in Saint Louis, but the best street tacos as well. One bartender is attentive and has a great attitude, other than that they?ve had a long-term problem with their service, turning... over the staff over each season. It takes forever to get anything served, you have to go to the bar to ask if your food orderhas been put in or if it?s ready, then you?ll discover it?s been sitting in the kitchen. Getting the check has taken an hour andyou?ll have to go to the bar and ask for it. Not sure if it?s a lack of servers or attitude of servers but it?s very rare to apositive service experience in years of visiting. Very slow service. Seem unorganized. Couldn?t get order right and couldn?t provide stated menu items (fruit for kids meal). ... Had to return to restaurant to rectify forgotten items. All that and the food was only average. Very disappointing experience. Read more
