Been looking forward to trying this place. Wanted to love it. One of my favorite restaurants in Wilmington is a Jamaican place.... Let me preface this by saying I?ve never been to Jamaica, so maybe I don?t know what I?m talking about. But personally, I didn?tthink it was very good. Jerk chicken wasn?t burnt but had a burnt flavor, callaloo rice was ok but needed more callaloo, cabbagewas too sweet, and baked Mac n cheese was mid at best. I will try again as I?ve seen other reviews say it was hit or miss. Staffwas friendly and I think for that alone the place deserves another try. We?ll see? Read more

After going here almost every weekend for the past couple months, I must say the food is NEVER consistent. Always hit or miss. I... wanted to love this place so bad because it is the only restaurant of its kind around here and it offers healthy, flavorfulfood. Consistency is an issue. The chicken has been seemingly re-heated or old, the sauce for brown stew is watered down anddoesn?t hold well so it leaves the chicken dry unless you spoon the sauce on top before eating. Chicken will either be cookedperfectly or overcooked depending on the day and time you go in. Rice is either mushy, old or just right. Cabbage and carroteither cooked or raw . I didn?t expect much of mac and cheese from a Jamaican restaurant but it?s pretty decent when fresh. Theguy behind the counter is ALWAYS nice and welcoming, the lady is hit or miss. I?ve had almost everything on the menu, the tasteis never the same. I?ve had to start asking them to show me the chicken before I decide if I want to eat it. Oxtail are greatand brown stew beef was also good. The best is their fried red snapper, escovitch or brown stew style. Read more

Food is overpriced and don?t get what you paid for. Macaroni tasted like it was boiled and layered with cheese, no seasoning at... all. Definitely doesn?t taste like authentic Jamaican food. Read more

First time trying and let me say IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT! My husband took a piece of my chicken an I was fixing to throw hands.(... Literately????) The food is really bomb. Customer service is on point. Friendly informative, patient, made us feel welcomed.(We've never tried Jamaican food so lots of questions.) Will probably now become constant customers. Thank you for theservice!???? Read more
