Great golf courses. It stays in good condition based on the high volume of traffic. But still one of my fav to play.

This review is for actual golfers otherwise stop here. Spring 2022... the greens are decent at the moment mainly because they... have only watered and mowed them. They still run very slow and inconsistent.. The sand is coming so get ready. Mark my wordthey will be oversanded from now through the summer. I realize they have to aerate but they will aerate 3 to 4 times duringpeak season and have more sand than the traps. Speaking of the traps. With 27 holes we might be up to 7-10 that are normal. That's not a lot for those non golfers still reading. Memberships are at an all time high. new homes and new people meanbringing more memberships. So 4 to 5 hour rounds are pretty normal these days. Cart paths are getting worse.. drainage is nonexistent in some areas. Sprinkler heads are broken. I could go on. If you give this course a high rating then let's behonest.... you are not a golfer and don't understand the game. But you are a perfect fit for membership. So come on and jointhe madness and play this overpriced Fred Smith gem. Read more
Played today, Dec 15 and played Riverview as the front, with a 11:50 t time. First, hole # 8, the pin has has not been moved in... a long time and the hole on the green is destroyed. Second, we made the turn along with a single in front of us and we had towait because golfers jumped in front of our back nine. Very unprofessional! We also watched other groups decide not to play thenew front, Deer , and go to Meadows. We need someone to be a starter all day long or inside staff that players start on thefront and not interfere with players that are making the turn. A great day was cut short by players that are unprofessional !Third and final complaint is the bunkers and the lack of sand. Read more
Nice course, in good shape, but desperately needs a starter; you can?t have 27 holes without one. Teeing off is a free for all... that inevitably ends up with 2-3 groups backed up on each starting tee. Given what they charge and the amount of play, theyshould be able to afford this. Read more
I play the Riverview nine and the Meadows nine, these great and beautiful courses to play. This was my first time playing them... and they are very while taken care of and the staff are great. Read more

Riverwood/Fred smith golf club is a scam!! I never write reviews but I feel like everyone should know. I'm a platinum member and... can never get tee times, course is in mediocre shape at best and all fred Smith company cares about is nickel and diming itsmembers. Then when I went to cancel they said I have to give 30 days notice which I did on 11/8 but they still charged $230 foranother month without prorating. Save your money and go to pine hollow or the neuse. Read more
