Reviews for Columbia Restaurant Sand Key in Clearwater, FL
Fantastic evening all around. From the staff that greets you to the waitress (Cindy your an all star) to the food to the bus... team. Every thing was top notch. If you sit outside the view is amazing. Adjacent to the Marriott and several beech shops. Foodwas delicious as well. A pretty decent wine and alcohol selection. They offer a variety of Spanish and Cuban cuisine. Food tooka bit long to come out but it was worth it. Deserts are all freshly made on premises. If you do sit outside on the patio orthe porch the tables do not have tablecloths. Inside tables are a bit more fancy. But my party preferred the viewoutside. Definitely will return next time I am in Sand Key. Bravo Columbia!!! Read more
Love the Columbia atmosphere! Friendly staff and tasty Spanish food. It's very laid back, so plan to relax and not be rushed -... usually an hour and a half meal. 1905 salad fresh-tossed at the table. Spanish bean soup is delicious - get the bowl, not thecup! Read more
Amazing food, great dinner companions, beautiful scenery. Our server was pleasant, yet slow. We requested refills on our sodas... and didn't receive them after we were finished with our meal. He did refill our water glasses multiple times. It's the littlethings???? We did have a very nice view of the water. The rest of the staff was friendly and professional. Read more
Restaurant has a semi-elegant Spanish theme. There is indoor search as well as waterfront patio seating. It was just way too... hot to sit on the patio. We were seated outside but asked for indoor seating due to the heat. Our server greeted us rightaway and took our drink order. We ordered the Caesar salad entree which was shared by two of us. Calamari which the five usshared. The Calamari was lightly battered and had the right amount of salt. We ordered the Cuban sandwich, Paella, Father'sday filet mignon special, Rice and beans, and kid's steak meal. The food was okay. The desserts are what stole the show. The white chocolate bread pudding and creme dessert both had great flavors without being overly sweet. Read more
This was an incredible experience. 5 stars for flavor and generous portion sizes. I will give you fair warning, you will walk... out with leftovers. We tried the black bean cakes as a starter, and they are perfect in every way. Crispy, warm, soft center, lovely flavor. It comes with sour cream and guacamole and it only adds. I had the salad which was bold and fresh, swimming inflavor. Wife had the black bean soup which was more just black beans on rice in a cup. Still quite tasty. Also (not pictured)was the Cuban bread and butter, which was light and warm. Honestly, we should have stopped here and been very satisfied. Wifehad the eggplant which had a very nice flavor and crispy breading. It came with two portions, but one would be enough. The beefwas tender and well adorned with peppers and onions. It came with rice and plantains. I actually thought these were the bestplantains I’ve ever had. In short, if you haven’t eaten here, you should. Read more

He made sure that we were well taken care of during our late lunch/early dinner. One of thehighlights was the Spanish Bean soup, which we always love.
