First time at Johnny?s, my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs he liked it very much. He especially liked the bean chili. I... had the boiled shrimp scampi. Wasn?t my favorite. I finally found great pizza in Clearwater! The clam chowder was also amazing. I enjoyed the tossed salad, but not the house... Italian dressing without adding additional salt and parmesan. I?m always excited to support our local business. I?ve been in town since Friday and this is my first disappointment sad to say.... The only great thing was the Manhattan Clam Chowder soup and the bread. My Penne Al-Vodka pasta had very little taste and itwasn?t fully cooked noodles were kind a hard. I think that I should?ve just left once I heard a young lady ?server? with anattitude and using the proper vocabulary while at work. My server Gentleman maybe in his 50s was not very welcoming. One of myfamily members didn?t even eat their dinner due to the food not being made how it was asked to be done. Server didn?t evenbother to ask what the issue was but was happy to charge. Listen is not about the money and I know that it?s not the serversfault but next time ask the questions like that you deliver the message to the cook or the manager so that you guys don?t repeata mistake. Very polite and friendly host and servers. Food was prompt. Only issue is, with the understanding that the place has been open... for a long time, but many fixtures, window blinds had accumulated dust and even...assorted detritus in the window sills andcorners. The bruschetta topping was premade and tomatoes were soft and slightly wilted. Breads were all fantastic. Otherwise, agood experience and food always comes out quickly and hot. Read more
I think I?ve found my new favorite Italian restaurant. From the service to the food, EVERYTHING was amazing. The place was... packed and Dekoda was on top of it all. Very friendly and helpful to a first time patron. Very clean and super friendlyatmosphere. Prices were more than reasonable for the portions and quality of the food. They said it would be a 30 minute waitand we barely waited ten. If you?re looking for a chill spot with amazing food and service, Johnny?s is your place. Excuse thephoto quality, I was ready to eat. The pizza is very good, but I'm not sure the other dishes are very authentic if that's something you care about. They still... taste good. I must say the bread and the olive oil dip served with the dinner dishes is so addicting. Read more
Great food! We had the meatball bake for an appetizer and boy, was it filling! I had the stuffed eggplant and it was phenomenal.... My husband had the chicken Alfredo and said it was good as well. I was sadly unimpressed with the ?Johnny Bread? not because itwas bad, but I was expecting a more Italian, crusty style of bread. This was more of a soft bun. Delicious nonetheless, just notsomething I would write home about for my own tastes. But the star of the show, the tiramisu!!! Oh my, it was so incredible! Youcould tell it was homemade.
