Leepin' Lizards!! When I asked my Sushi Chef, "where do you go for sashimi"? He and the owner both said Ken's. Little did I know... that I would walk into my new "heaven on earth". The quality, attn to detail, diversity and product knowledge is prodigious. From the long laborious process to prepare fresh monk liver to the stringent quality expectations Ken displays with his vendorsand the destinations around the world from which his fish is delivered is mind boggling. It takes many many years to develop. Ihad the Sashimi Platter featuring all the best Ken had on hand. A delectable smorgasbord of sashimi types, tastes and textures.Starting with my favorites on down there was...New Zealand King Salmon Belly, Blue Fin Otoro, Blue Fin Chutoro, Swordfish Belly,Blue Fin Tuna, Monk Fish Liver, Sea Bream(?), Hawaiin Yellow Tail, Icelandic Char, Australian Albacore, Spanish Branzini andothers I can not remember. Simply Amazing!! Read more

The name saids it all as it is a bistro. It is a very small place but always full! Is is so hard to get a seat here but we made... it in! Looking at the menu, they have some very special types of sushi! This place gets an A++ for the best presentation inthe entire area. Each dish is a work of art! The entrees are freshly cooked and the soups is very tasteful. I would highlyrecommend that you try this place if you get a chance! Read more

Calling all sushi lovers ??????this is, in my opinion, the best sushi you?ll find in the Tampa Bay Area. The fish quality is... impeccable and melts in your mouth. You can tell that the sushi chefs are passionate and focused on executing quality sushi. Isaw this was in a strip mall and was a little hesitant but you transport into a small restaurant with great vibes. Very clean, pleasant staff. It was a great way to spend my birthday. We will certainly be back!! PS. This is worth the wait if there is await for a table and it is worth waiting for the chef to prepare because it?s FRESH!! Read more

Our daughter wanted Sushi from her birthday so we decided to give this place a try. They were able to seat our party of 7 right... away. The seating area is small but the layout maximizes seating. Service was great. We started with apps fried calamari, gyozaand tempora shrimp. The fried calamari was extra chewy but the other apps were really good. My husband didn't seem to mind thechewiness. Ken's has a variety of rolls to choose from. We choose the dragon roll and baba roll both were great. We alsoordered two orders of fried rice for the kids and they devoured it! So glad we found a sushi spot we like, also try the Thai icecoffee, it's yummy! Read more

Clean small cozy place. Sushi was great. Dessert was delicious! Presentation was pretty. However, the staff on this day were... all bunched in a group in one corner by the register, snickering/laughing looking at my family & other customers. That was quiteuncomfortable & awkward. Other than that, food was good. Read more

Ken's is an amazing experience mixing the best of modern and traditional sushi into one. With an absolutely incredible selection... of fish coming in from all over the world to rival that of a True omakase sushi place that will not allow you to order a lacarte or serve a delicious Mexican roll. Ken's masterfully blends everyone's favorites underneath one roof. All fish arefilleted in house and come from as far away as New Zealand! I truly believe this to be one of those spots that is a must try asChef Ken is not only the best sushi in the area but could give anyone in the state a run for their money! Must haves in spot arealways changing as he is always looking to bring in the best he can find but make sure to try the different cuts of tuna and acouple others from the "special" menu. Read more
