Having serious doubts about the service at this location. In the past I?ve had orders with undercooked rice thinking I?ll just... give them a second, third and fourth chance. Last evening?s surprise was one that pushed it even more. Besides being charged $2for an ?avocado slice? that I didn?t receive these wedge fries were more like chips. So I usually go to this location 3 or more times a week. I just spent the last hour throwing up after I found a small roach body... with one leg attached at the bottom of my mash potatoes. I usually go to the Pinellas Park location and food is always great each visit. I decided to try the Gulf to Bay location and... the food is not great at all. Super dry chicken and the Mac n cheese is dry and burnt. Read more
I understand fast food places are busy, and I don't mind waiting the 20min that I did. I ordered a Cuban, Chicken bowl thing and... a key lime pie. Does this look like a $3.19 piece of pie to you? Is this acceptable? It wasn't even a full piece, they justthrew a busted piece of pie in a box! And the Tropichop bowl was all over the place as well. UGH!! Read more
Really enjoyed the food but really unhappy with the mobile order pickup. My food took 20 minutes beyond the time it was due. And... they were serving multiple customers who came in and ordered while I was standing there. Not very happy. Though I feel for themsince they have a sign on the door saying the room is closed due to labor shortage. Read more
So this was my first time to Pollo Tropical and I'll have to say I enjoyed my food. I went in late about 50 minutes before... closing and the food was all still good. Sure a few items I wanted to try they did not have but that's expected for being soclose to closing time. Service was great and friendly, they forgot to give me my cheesecake but luckily I noticed before I left.I tried the chicken rice bowl with everything on it, a mojito, and if course had to try the mango cheesecake. First time at this chain in many years. I'd say, just stay away. The chicken while having a decent flavor was extremely dry... and chewy. The sausage was like a sausage jerky it was so dry. The ribs they currently have were okay, but could not save theday. The cookie had to be replaced for one that wasn't burned to a piece of coal. Really. That cookie should have never beenallowed to get into a customers hands. The restaurant also while not busy, was very dirty. Ants were running a long the windowsills and table as I ate. So I entertained myself feeding them to pass the time while Eeyore walked off to find an ant eater.This chain closed many locations over the years, this one needs to close as well. Read more
