We made reservations the day before to enjoy our anniversary dinner at Caretta. And even though we arrived a little earlier we... were immediately seated at a table facing the window affording us an excellent view of the fabulous sunset over the beach. Ourwaitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. And this restaurant asks if you have any food allergies to letthem know and the kitchen can usually modify the meal to accommodate them. At this point we had been to several restaurants withthe same note on the menu, but only Caretta actually meant it. When I mentioned my gluten allergy, our waitress said the breadserved had a gluten free cheese roll option, and when I told her also had a dairy sensitivity she said she did as well andunderstood, she then asked me about the sweet potato puree that came with the Ahi Tuna I ordered, just to inform me. I reallyappreciated that! When the bread arrived, my hubby was raving how delicious it was and ate the entire half loaf, so I decided tosample the GF cheese roll. . Oh my word they're so delicious!!! I remember Red Lobsters little cheese biscuits these are aboveand beyond! Then our Diver Scallops arrived which were incredible! And as we ordered a bottle of wine for our anniversary, ourwaitress never let our glasses of our wine or water get much below half empty. My Ahi Tuna was perfectly seasoned and cooked itwas hard to leave any remnants behind as good manners dictate. Hubby had the steak and lobster and the lobster was fantastic.And he asked for the dessert menu to see if there was a creme brulee and it was the first dessert mentioned. I ordered a coffeeand I meant to ask what coffee they served because I've never had a better cup! And when the creme brulee arrived there was alittle edible Happy Anniversary confection on top. Sister's Birthday and Caretta's is her favorite place to celebrate! We were a little early for our reservations, so we headed... into the bar for a drink. The server was SO Great that we gave up our table in the dining room to stay with her. Turns out, "Argela", our server, made this visit an Outstanding Experience and made her feel very special on her birthday!! Drinks andwine were Really good!! Appetizers were out quickly and were quite tasty!! A Poke' bowl, the Short Rib, and the Caprese! AllAmazing! Then dinner... Went to Caretta's for a date night with my fiancé and it was a great night. Will was our server and he had great... recommendations and attentive service. We had the scallop appetizers and the surf n turf sushi roll. Wow! So delicious and weare usually not a sushi person, but we would definitely order that again. Entrees were perfect, I had the grouper with risottoand my fiancé almost ordered the chicken entree, but Will convinced him to try the Pork Chop and he was very happy with therecommendation. The bourbon cider glaze on the Pork Chop entree was so good. Highly recommend Carettas for a nice evening out.There was a great view of the sunset and beach for the evening and an outdoor patio to step outside and take photos. My husband and I went to Caretta last night to celebrate our honeymoon, and we were blown away! We started with the organic... greens salad, which was delightful. The plating was so creative, and the light dressing was perfect. My husband had a watermelonmojito which was also delicious! They had a huge selection of wines as well. For our main course, we each got the 9 oz. Filetwith mixed vegetables and fingerling potatoes. The filet was cooked perfectly to my liking and had so much flavor, even withoutthe red wine sauce (which was also delicious). The potatoes were perfectly cooked with a slight crisp. We finished out dinnerwith the vanilla bean crème brûlée, which was to die for! Overall, I thought the food was great and matched the prices well.Additionally, our server Taz was a pleasure to interact with. He checked in frequently, and even took some pictures of us duringsunset. We will definitely be returning if we ever come back to Clearwater! Read more
Wonderful experience. This place has it all. The location is gorgeous, right on the water. The Sandpearl resort is conveniently... located on a corner so it made getting in and out very easy. The staff at the resort were all very kind. Starting with the valetthat took my car and let me know that the restaurant could validate my parking so I didn't have to pay. Inside the resort thedécor was beautiful and elegant. It definitely was giving off paradise vibes. I wanted a good breakfast with an ocean view andCaretta's definitely delivered. I forget my waitress' name but she was awesome!! Everyone in the restaurant was very kind andhelpful. I ordered the French toast which my waitress suggested and I am extremely happy that I did. Devin was the perfect host. His enthusiasm when describing each menu item made me want to try everyone one. Awesome ocean views... and the vibe is on point for a great time. Loved the diver scallops with bacon and mushrooms. I ordered it two days in a row, same with the caprese salad. The second day I... had them keep the balsamic vinegar on the side.
