Look the chicken, fries, and Mac & cheese were all very good. The wife hated the Cole slaw, said it reminded her of toothpaste,... but scarfed down my red beans and rice so quick I never got a bite. This place has a lot of bad reviews b/c of a lot of laborshortages when it first opened just after covid. That has not been a problem the last few months I've been here. The fact ismost of the food (except Cole slaw) is very good for fast food level, the staff does a good job of getting orders out quicklyand accurately, and you can't really beat the price. I probably like chicken express a little better, b/c they have okra butthey are about 30% pricier. And Popeye's still has the most delicious chicken sandwich and offering shrimp and red beans andrice means they are my preferred chicken spot in cleburne hands down. Read more
I was in town and hungry so I stopped in to get chicken but the young lady suggested I try the shrimp instead do I did. The... shrimp special was not what I anticipated. I ate it but I don't think I will order it again. I learned to eat chicken at a friedchicken restaurant. Read more
Ordered online on the app. Got to the drive thru and was told to pull up to the door. Pulled up and waited for 15 minutes. My... husband went in to ask what the hold up was, she asked if ours was the mobile order. Ordered up 2 piece original ×2, can't handle the spiced meal, bad for my insides. Halfway through the second piece the heat... hit me, lips burning all the way down, had to stop, like I got a hot piece. All I can say is just don't waste your time. If you want to wait a ridiculously long time for "fast food" this might be the... place for you. It took them 30 minutes to get our order to go. Then when I was missing something and the nice guy was trying tofix it, one of the girls who had just got done yelling at him in Spanish for not doing her job decided to stand there and arguewith me and the young gentleman behind the counter that I was wrong and she put everything in there. So needless to say I had afew words with the little gal and we will not be back. Unfortunately this is not a first time thing with this same kind ofexperience this has become what you expect from this place. If I could give less stars, I would. 20 minutes after ordering to get a chicken sandwich and 24 nuggets??we don?t have 24... nuggets, so manager told us to charge for 2-12 pc? ($3-4 extra) Could have fooled me, there?s a 24 on the menu. Consider takingservers personal appearance into account when hiring for food service as well. Ordered a family meal on the app.When I get there,the cashier told me to pull up and he would have it right out. I pull up,wait... 15 minutes,then he comes out to tell me that it?ll be about 12 minutes because they ran out of chicken from filling otherorders-THERE WAS NO ONE THERE!!!
