This place is amazing! We've recently moved from Texas to North Caroline and really miss the authentic Mexican restaurants... there. We've now found our new favorite place! The food is as good as it gets, the atmosphere is so nice, all of the tables andbooths are carved and painted differently, very colorful. It's not half as expensive as most of the other places we've found ontown but soooooo much better! My family loved it!!! Read more

Food was fresh, hot and arrived in the perfect amount of time. Both dishes my wife and me ordered was wonderful. Staff was... friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone. Very close to Tanglewood Park. Perfect for couplesor the whole family. Reasonable prices for very good food. Will definitely go back. Read more

The waitstaff forgot to take our order. That was fine as we were talking. One waitress asked the other in Spanish if she forgot... us and she said yes. The food was OK. My daughters quesadilla did not have cheese. I used the cheese from my burrito to add tohers. They closed at 10, but broke the restaurant down at 930 and were sweeping around us. I did not like the idea of dustflying around our food :( Read more

I have given this place chance after chance after chance and it has let me down every time. The chips are stale, the meat is... incredibly low quality and full of gristle, the food is lukewarm, the onions weren't even sliced properly, they were stillconnected like part of a blooming onion, the water was warm, and I felt awful after eating it. It used to be better, they usedto bring you free fried cinnamon tortillas with whip cream and cherry syrup after your meal but even then it wasn't great. Thereare tons of better Mexican restaurants in the area. Do not go here. Read more

Ok, so I usually don't complain and try to be understanding given hiring post-covid. Before I address the bad, let me address... the good. This was what I feel to more of an authentic flare to the food. The food arrived super hot and fresh!!! You couldtell it was cooked with care and done as it was ordered. I have no complaints about the decor or the atmosphere in therestaurant. I had a taco de lengua, and it was absolutely delicious. My main dish, carnitas in salsa verde was perfection. So, grading the food and chef, 10 stars!!!!! Now, to the negative. The waiter was without any character or warmingexperience. Very minimal talking, seemed bothered to refill drinks and it seemed a strain on him to even say your welcome. (DeNada) I would absolutely go back for the food, but unfortunately the experience with service was subpar and I would struggleto return unless service greatly improves. Read more

Restaurant is in great location with easy access from both east and westbound I-40 and US 158 in Tanglewood Commons shopping... center off of Harper Road. Get your food order as takeout, eat inside in the dining room or eat at the picnic tables located outside. Read more

Love the bright, colorful furnishings, ambience. We arrived after most of the dinner guests had been served, sat outside as... twilight turned to dusk, then into what we used to call the gloaming. We were seated there with no hesitation and the waitresswas appropriately attentive, personable. The food was good, satisfying. Not gourmet, but suited our taste. The dinner crowdappeared to be locals who frequent the place. There was a good-sized birthday party celebrating a grandmother, with mom, grandchildren, others in attendance. Didn't faze the staff, as far as we could tell. We'll go there again after walking atTanglewood, just up the road. Just the colors alone provide uplift! Worth the trip, folks. Read more
