Found this place in Tea Time magazine. I was going to visit a friend in Florida and decided to check it out. The owner greeted... us at the door. We were a little early and thought we would check out the gift shop. She said it was OK for us to find now orshop first. So, we decided to done first. The tables were nicely decorated for fall. The waitress came over and showed us thelist of teas to choose from. There was a long list of different teas. Once we choose our tea, we selected our scone from achoice of five. These scones were the best I've ever tasted outside of Ireland. They were so moist and warm. Then topped with aDevon cream combined with white chocolate. This is the best cream I've ever tasted. It wasn't too sweet but very delicious. Thencame the Entree which was pumpkin soup and a choice of 3 sandwiches or slice of quiche. Then finished with a red velvet cupcaketo with chocolate ganache. The food was some of the finest I've tasted and I've been to many tea rooms. The staff wasoutstanding and very personable. Their knowledge of the teas were very informative and on spot. I definitely will return again. And will join their scone monthly subscription. The only fault I have with this venue, is to move their office business fromthe dining room or put a screen around it. This past Saturday morning me and my family woke up excited to check out what teas Erika had to offer. We even made a point to... have breakfast downtown while we waited for her to open up. However, we left extremely disappointed. After eating breakfast andstrolling downtown we finally came upon Erikas Tearoom sign reading “Open”.. it was about 30 min past opening. With a smileon our faces we reached out grabbing the door before realizing it was locked. It couldn’t be so.. is she closed, did sheforget to unlock the front door? I quickly grabbed my phone to check the hours and tried calling to see if mabye it wasreservation only. While I was calling Erika my husband was looking inside saying “there is people in there.. they aredefinitely open”. No answer from Erika so I hung up and told my husband to knock she must not know her door is locked forcustomers. Before knocking she looked at my husband, turned her back to us and started minding her own. Of course she must havenot seen us.. let’s knock! I knock on the door and she turns around and proceeds to shoo me away!! Never again will I bereturning **not the only one 10 min later after passing by again after visiting another shop a couple was standing outsideequally confused. Read more

You know how some people add joy and light to whoever they meet? Well, that is not the case with Erka's tea room and the owners... there. It had been a couple of years since I had tried to take people there and my last experience had been a very poor one. Ihad been treated very rudely by Lila - the mother/owner and had decided that I would not return. However, we had friends in townfrom Seattle and I figured since it had been a couple years it might be worth a try again! The beginning of our visit went welland we were pleased with our scones and tea. Our waitress, Cecilia was absolutely lovely! However, once again Lila decided toshow her extraordinary rudeness once again. After my friend had asked the waitress if she could keep her plate with the clottedcream and getting the okay - Lila came over and snatched the plate. My friend tried to explain she was hoping to keep it to useon the rest of her meal and was told very rudely that she didn't need it and there were plenty of other things on the table. Iexpressed to her that perhaps since my friend was the customer and wanted to keep the clotted cream that perhaps she could bethe one to make that decision. I received no response from Lila. When Lila came back a few minutes later I asked if perhaps myfriend could get a bit more clotted cream. Again no response. So we asked our waitress who explained that she was not allowed togive us anymore. When Lila brought out some more of the food I figured I would go to the top and ask one last time. She gave mea very strong "no" and then walked away talking badly about us to the waitress where we could hear her. I was appalled at herpoor customer skills! It was extraordinarily rude and inexcusable. At this point I decided I would quietly go speak with theother owner/daughter - Erika. I waited until I was certain there were no other customers and went out and quietly explained thatI would rather communicate directly with her as opposed to posting something on social me Read more

I couldn't believe how rude the owner was about being early and touching anything in her showroom. I also felt like we were... dining in her office. Who sets up their office in the dining room? Reading emails, answering phone calls , packing up scones toship... while we were eating... so rude. All the while, I can see her glaring at me because I thought the scones were dry. Thankgoodness CeeCee was our server and was super nice or I probably wouldn't have stayed. Definitely wouldn't go back though, I'vebeen to far nicer tea rooms where you are greeted by polite owners. The sandwiches were ok but not the usual way they areserved. I just noticed in a different review that they had jam with their scones, this might have helped if we were served jam Read more

An excellent tea room experience and worth the drive from Orlando. What separates this from other tea rooms is a choice of... flavored scones. You get two scones to start the meal, and can choose from options that include caramel walnut, lemonblueberry, orange cranberry, or whatever else they made in the kitchen that morning. The scones are freshly made and warm whenthey come out. The tea sandwiches are good but similar to what I've had at other tea rooms. The quiche was excellent. Thedessert is a cupcake or muffin style options, which is good, but I would prefer something lighter like a trifle at the end ofthe meal. Altogether, highly recommend the experience. Read more
