Food is a little too pricey and salt. Wanted jerk chicken and festival but that was finished at 6pm even though they closes at... 8pm. Explanation was that chef had already left. Poor excuse. Similar excuses that I have gotten at other Golden Krust that Ibeen to. Things on the menu always finished 1-2 hours before closing. Read more
I?ve ate here about 3 times since I?ve been living in Clermont, and each time I was disappointed. Today I stopped in for some... curry chicken and steamed cabbage. I actually sat down to eat inside, even in spite of the stifling heat inside the restaurant.As I?m eating I notice the distinctive taste of scorched food. I usually mix things on my fork so it wasn?t sure what it was atfirst, then as I begin to sample the course separately I figured out that it was the rice. What kind of cook sends out scorchedrice to be served in a restaurant? My issue is, though, that, just being nice, I informed the staff and they acted sort ofnonchalant. I explained that I was only letting them know so that they didn?t continue to serve the good people of thiscommunity scorched rice. They then offered to give me more rice. The nerve of them to not offer me a fresh plate altogether.That rice ruined the whole meal. I wasn?t going to pick rice from my chicken and cabbage to put it on more possibly bad rice.That was ridiculous. I?m also a business owner in this area, and I often work myself because it?s not good for business whenemployees don?t care about the well-being of your business. And no one?s perfect, I know, but there is just better ways tohandle a dissatisfied customer. I won?t be returning to Golden Krust. In fact, I can?t wait until we get a Negril over here soI can have real Caribbean cuisine in the vicinity. Read more

Decided to check this spot last night and it was good. The restaurant was nice inside and it got packed by the time I was... leaving. I order the small ox tail but I felt it was a little pricey for it but I get it, is ox tail. They have alot of optionsand they all looked great. The rice and peas was good but not a fan of the cabbage. The interior is nicely decorated and givesyou the island vibe. Will definitely come back to try different things but if you craving some Jamaican food, definitely hitthis spot. Read more
I left a store near by and I was hungry. What to eat around here since I?m not familiar with the area? Looking around I spotted... ?Bakery?, that?s me, let?s go! They were serving lunch. I saw the cakes, yeah!!!!! But why not try any food? It smelled good,the place was clean and more customers were getting food to go. So I got Chicken Curry for my son, some Beef Patties ?mild?since I cannot handle spicy food, and I saw Penne With Shrimp in a cream sauce that got my attention, so I asked for a smallportion. When I got home 45 minutes later I had to taste everything. I ate one Beef patties, ok. Tasted the Chicken Curry,great! I tasted the pasta, great! And believe me that small portion had 10 shrimps! 10! Sometimes you go out to eat and youorder a shrimp dish and you only see like 5 shrimps, I was surprised! And then I ate the whole slice of Coconut Rum Cake. Lateron I had the pasta for dinner, OMG. They are doing an awesome job!!!!! It had a little kick to it, but that I could handle it.It?s spicy but just enough and in a cream sauce, it blends well. I just felt that I had to write a review. I?m not familiar withCaribbean food but everything was really good. If I new this was a chain restaurant I probably would never set a foot in, but Iam glad I did. Good affordable Caribbean food! I enjoyed the jerk chicken with rice and peas - but I found the cabbage veggie mix just ok... because I prefer a side salad to be raw/less cooked. Really appreciated that the worker asked what pieces of jerk chicken Iwanted (leg vs breast / white vs dark meat). While the jerk chicken was cooked well I'd also prefer it to be more seasoned. Theoxtail was good. I also tried the veggie patty but was not a fan of the filling mix, the pastry was made with whole wheat (whichI liked conceptually) but I didn't like the texture of it - being more soft than flaky. I highly recommend the coconut waterthey sell - fresh and preservative free with no added sugars! I will definitely return for more jerk chicken meals and coconutwater :) Read more
I was looking for something different than chain restaurants. I got the curried goat with white rice. The portions are fantastic... and the taste is fantastic. They had a decent line, but were fast and friendly. Definitely work the try. Thanks for the greatfood Read more
