My wife and I love our breakfast and brunch dates here! Intimate atmosphere with awesome gluten free options (everything is... gluten free). We really like the chicken and waffles (pictured), and we have also enjoyed their themed dinner nights. Myfavorite crepe is called the "Oh, Canada," I think--they have quite a few awesome crepe options to choose. Ooh la la for the gluten free and dairy free peeps! Everything here is gluten free so you can take an easy sigh for those who... need to abide by strict dietary needs. Also marked are nut free and corn free items among others. There are so many fabulouschoices for meat eaters and vegetarian alike. I settled on the chicken club panini (added avocado) on their standard quinoabread paired with garlic fries and a turmeric latte. Hit the spot! Today was my first time trying this place. I was out and about on a Saturday afternoon, and I was getting hungry because I... didn't have a chance to get any breakfast. So my wife suggested that I try this place. If you're not looking for Café Avalaun,there's a good chance that you will miss it. But, after eating there, I can see why that's not problem for them! I ordered theOh Canada Crepe. It's Scrambled eggs, Fried Potatoes, Mozzarella and Sausage topped with maple syrup - All wrapped up inside ofa crepe. This was also my first time ever having crepes in my life, so I was a bit anxious, and excited at the same time. Theyoung woman behind the counter was very kind and willing to answer all of my questions. Any that she didn't know the answer toshe went to get the answer. I really appreciated that. She helped to reduce some of my anxiety. I got my order to go, and whenI got home it was still hot. So I dove right in, and OH BOY was it GOOD! I had it all with a glass of my favorite orange juice,and I really enjoyed my meal. I definitely hope to go back there again. Read more
Update: I wanted to update my review to say I?ve been back multiple times and everything that I?ve had is amazing! I just went... back for Sunday brunch takeout and had gluten and dairy free chicken and waffles. Yum! They also do frequent pop-up dinnerspecials. Make sure you sign up for their emails so that you know about them. ?? I ordered the hot chicken sandwich, vegancarrot curry bisque, and garlic French fries. Everything was gluten free and it was very easy to specify in the online orderingsystem that I wanted my order to be dairy free also. They are very accommodating of all special dietary needs. Was on the hunt for a solid breakfast stop on the road and this hit the spot! Food was super fresh and good. I got the sandwich... which was excellent. The cold brew was really strong and great as well. Would highly recommend this place for coffee and a biteto eat! Read more
