October 2022: The family was hungry wanted to stop someplace for a quick bite. I suggested IHOP since they specialize in... pancakes. I had not been to any of their restaurants in several years and figured why not give them a try? We wanted to ordersome smoothies, but they were out of the ingredients to make them so we settled for milkshakes. We ordered the kids burger meal,a pancakes meal, and 2 French toast meals. The food was over portioned, but we did not know that prior to ordering. Pros: * Thewaitress was friendly and trying her best to make our experience a pleasant one. The overall service was okay...not fast, notslow. * Restaurant seemed clean. The tables and floors looked clean. The restroom was in good condition. * The food was okay,but not stellar. The French toast was made using 2 super slices of Texas Toast. Too much for one person really. Cons: * Theprices were reasonable. Everything came out to $49.10 for a group of four. We paid cash giving her $100 bill + a dime. Ourchange came back messed up. She gave me $50.90. I wanted to avoid the coins, but no matter the coins became part of hertip. Conclusion: I want to give this location a 3.5 star rating, but am unable to rate in decimals. It is not a true 3, but nota 4 neither. Just an okay restaurant. This is the worst place to go. Restaurant is nasty. The floor is a mess. I was there to pick up my online order. They told me it... would be a few minutes so I figured OK my food will be fresh and warm. when I receive my order it was code and completely wrongand only have about 10 pieces of fries. What happened? Did they run out of potato? Did They scrap this from another plate ? forthe price that I paid does meal was not worth it. I wish there was an option to give minus stars, because not even one star iswhat they deserve. Read more
Terrible. No enthusiasm from the staff. We were told it would take just a couple minutes to be seated. Wound up taking 20 for... two people. We both ordered pancakes and waited an hour+ for them. And the place is far from busy. Servers just wandering arounddoing nothing. Completely unacceptable. Read more
The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant, took our to go order and made sure everything was packed up. The waiting... area in the restaurant was very clean. Our food was really good. Will return. Read more
Very dirty place! The host was the waiter and when she took us to the table we saw that more than three tables with food left... unclean and floor not been cleaned for a quite some time. No one bothered themselves to clean before take new customers.Definitely, we just left because if the front was like this how would the kitchen be like!!?? The place was empty with maybe 2 other tables being used as we entered the waitress sat us down took our drinks then just... clocked out we sat for about 45 min before another waitress approached and asked what we wanted to drink didn?t write it downbut then walked away we waited another 20 min or so and she walked back to take our order but yet still no drinks and we waitedshe came back again said she was sorry and took our drink order again took t them10 min for th another long wait just for ourfood as we sat for another 45 min the waitress came and said sorry we?re down to one cook do you wanwait? Good food... just took awhile. This was my first visit to IHOP Steelyard Location. Many people were not pleased about the wait... and walked out. We stayed, and our patience was rewarded with delicious omelets. This location was understaffed. The server wasvery nice, though. Read more
Stopped in for breakfast while on a weekend trip and got seated within a few minutes of walking in. There was only one waitress... working at the time, it was early, probably before 0730. The waitress was fantastic. She was efficient, friendly and for as busyas she was she did not act as though she was stressed or upset that she was by herself like most people would being in herplace. I've worked in the restaurant business and have personally witness how most act when they get as busy as she was and shedid phenomenal. The food came out fast and it was exactly as we ordered it. Very happy with our stop here and would definitelyrecommend stopping by this restaurant for a meal! Kudos to the waitress for doing such an outstanding job...I wish I knew hername to recognize her but unfortunately I don't. Read more
