Had a great time here on our wedding anniversary. The sever was very attentive and the food was excellent. Seating was a little... tight but the restaurant did a great job with seating arrangements so we weren't elbow to elbow with anyone and able to converseprivately during our meal. We ordered chicken and duck confit. Both were great and the complimentary bread was great too. Alsosurprised they have their own parking lot. Couldn't recommend this place enough, compliments to the chef. Read more

This is my favorite restaurant in/near university circle. Of the three times I’ve been here, their duck is always so amazingly... cooked. Their shrimp pasta is a bit average, so I would pick more wild options on their menu. Dessert is also 10/10. Atmosphereis sweet, great date place! Read more

Listen, this place doesn’t need another glowing review—there are thousands already there. But what the heck? Why not one... more? This is a must if you are in Cleveland for any reason. This was our first visit—a special birthday in the family. Andeverything was about as good as it gets. We sat on the patio, which was so comfortable and quaint. The real star, though, is thefood. To quote my wife on the way home, “THAT is what food is supposed to taste like.” The service was impeccable. Theycleaned the table between courses and were so knowledgable about the food. Much of it is grown onsite or locally sourced. Thedrinks were all special and memorable. Everything we ate was elegant with rich, complex flavors. (The apps are given just asmuch care as the main courses.) The dessert menu doesn’t disappoint either (the Grand Marnier soufflé is something I’llnever forget). From beginning to end, this is some of the best we’ve had anywhere (and we’ve eaten in Paris and authenticFrench villages). Thank you for existing. We will return. Read more

Serving simple, elegant, yet wholly delicious food in an unpretentious brasserie setting, L'Albatros is Cleveland's premiere... French restaurant and my go to selection for bringing visitors and friends for a taste of great French cuisine over the yearsbefore COVID. This review is my first visit after covid and it's like visiting an old friend. The menu is pared down - I misstheir seared sea scallops (my favorite dish), their rotating plats du jour. I also love their onion soup and their warm browniedessert. They also have an excellent selection of cheeses and wine. For this visit, we ordered: (1) Confit de canard (duckconfit) with sweet potato puree and braised red cabbage, (2) braised lamb shoulder with fregula pasta risotto and red wine demijus, (3) brasserie chop salad with Roquefort, and (4) Pizza Bianco with rosemary, garlic, parmesan and fontina cheese -- seephotos attached to this review. The duck confit and braised lamb shoulder - traditional French fare - were expertly prepared andelegantly presented, and tasted as good as they looked. Service was impeccable. Highly recommended! The ambience and the atmosphere is really good for a special occasion. We had a table reservation and got the chance to sit in... the wine cellar room which gave us a private space in front of a beautiful wine collection. We had the escargot and beef heartto start up. For our main course, we had shrimp pasta which was good like as you expect for a pasta dish, lamb braised shoulder,beef tenderloin, cod which was one dish we did not like, felt it wasn't cooked properly. We had the special drinks and all ofthem were really good. We tried almost all the desserts, everything tasted really good,the one which stood out was the soufflé. Read more
