A few friends and I were in town and my friend recommended this place. Wonderful! Amazing! The two ladies who prepared the food... and took care of us were lovely. The food was authentic and made with love. I hope to return here again sometime. A specialplace for sure. Read more

I?m not sure that it?s possible for me to recommend this place with too much enthusiasm. Sevda was our server and conducted... herself as if she was the owner. Everything she did for us was perfect. The space was clean and seemed to fit at least 10tables, which appear like they can accommodate over 60 people. They also have several street side tables as well. The space wasnicely decorated with Turkish art and artifacts. I had the lunch special, which came with salad, a kebab platter, and freshlybaked Turkish bread. After our meal, they also treated us to some Turkish coffee and a lovely custard like dessert, which wasgarnished with pistachio grounds. Every bite was delicious and even though I?m absolutely full right now, my mouth is stillwatering as a post pictures for this review. Check this place out! Read more

Had a good experience at Hakki Baba. Service was excellent though we were the only ones there for some time. A couple was... there before us and after us. Visited this place close to 1pm on a Saturday o our way back from NYC. Parking is streetside. The interior is pretty. There was complimentary delicious bread offered with butter. Could keep eating that forever. Orderedthe cold starter with hummus, spicy ezme, feta cheese and grilled eggplant salad with walnuts. Hummus had a different flavorthan I was typically used to. Had a more cumin-y flavor and less tahini. Might be typical to the region. Overall goodespecially with the bread. Main course was pistachio kebab and stuffed cabbage which had shredded meat and rice topped withspiced yogurt. Both I recommend trying. The main item that topped off the meal was the pistachio milk pudding. Delicatelysweet end to the meal. A must try. The bill came to a little over $80 for the above meal - not including tip. Half orders were perfect for our late lunch after SoJo Spa nearby. Our waitresses (the 4th generation of family owners) were so... helpful with suggestions? the eggplant appetizer trio was delicious with a smoky salad version and one of the best babaganoushI?ve ever had. Our kebabs were moist, tender and tasty, and the bread light, warm and airy. To top it off we had the milkypistachio pudding. They have great family style/party options that have us planning our next get together. Read more
