I've traveled all over the country and this is the best Chinese food I've ever had. It seems like everyone in Grand Junction... thinks so too as evidenced by the steady stream of people picking up take out and lining up at the door on a Friday night fordinner. I had walnut shrimp and it was spectacular I highly recommend! Read more

Well to be transparent I was going to give this place a 3 star rating due to my previous experiences which dates back for years.... However before I did, I thought I give them another try. And I gotta say everything was on point tonight (it was mediocre atbest in the past). All the servers where friendly and helpful, and our food came out surprisingly fast. The quality definitelycame up on the food grade for sure. Keep up on the consistency and I will have to revisit for a better review. Read more

The first time was based on time and convenience...the second time was on purpose. The best tasting Chinese food I've had in... years. The family had chicken chowmein, beef chowmein, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, and a mixed plate... everyone said howgood it all was. We'll be going back the next time we visit Grand Junction, CO. Read more

Great Chinese restaurant to know to drop in when cruising by the area on the highway. Better than most, especially if some... patience is given to resolve an issue, and one takes a moment to count a takeout order and request any needed adjustments, youshould be quite happy with this recommendation. Does the name come from the cooks all grazing on the food while working andbecoming hefty to have double chins? I don't believe so. American Chinese restaurants are very different from Chinese food inChina, except in some tourist locations. Chin Chin has a nice feature in that they keep an authentic element whileappropriately catering to the western taste bud. Chinese food has ingredients, spice combinations and food concepts that arebeloved the world over. Not so with Russian, English and many other national cuisines. There are very few English or Russianfood restaurants in America because after trying it no one would go back for haggis or borscht!!! (Amen). (Please click thumbsup, LIKE if you enjoy my jokes :) I feel the service at Chin Chin is quick, and there is an integrity, a fairness to the ownersmethodology. A nice cherry on top - you don't have to ask for no MSG as they don't use it generally. Monosodium Glutamate isconsidered safe by the FDA, US Food and Drug Administration, as a limited use flavor enhancer. A lot of us don't like the sleepdose it can carry especially when getting back on the highway... Vrooom, vrooom, and we are off driving again :) Read more

This was my first experience of the place. I arrived about 1 p.m. after the lunch rush. Was seated fairly quickly and ordered... the moo goo gai pan and wonton soup for $8.25 off of the lunch menu. The wonton soup had several wontons in it and was evenlyseasoned with a very good broth. The moo goo gai pan came with an egg roll and rice and a wonton. the rice and egg roll aboutaverage as you would get anywhere but the main dish was very satisfying. This place seems to attract a crowd of older folkslooking for traditional american-style Chinese food. It's the Chinese food from your youth if you grew up in Kansas or otherrural places. I was happy with it but I noticed about half an hour after I finished eating I got that old MSG shakes and a bitlight headed. I would imagine that they use the ancient Chinese secret of MSG to accent their food. I am a bit sensitive to ithence the fast Beating Heart and lightheadedness. so if you're sensitive to MSG you've been warned. I still really like the foodthough, the pleasure outweighs the dizziness I guess. Read more
