I've been here twice now and enjoyed both experiences. I came once for happy hour and a second time for brunch. One time I had... reservations and the other I did not but was seated immediately during both occasions. Staff was friendly. Max was our serverboth times and did an excellent job being attentive and friendly. Happy hour snacks were good. Very nice place to eat and have a relaxing time. Place is not loud and we didn't encounter any obnoxious people. That can ruin a... place for me. Made a reservation, went in and was seated right away. We went on a Thursday night 8pm. Dont know if i needed tomake a reservation because it wasn't crazy busy. Our waitress was really nice and checked up on us often. She recommended itemsfor us and always had a nice welcoming smile on her face. Farmhouse style restaurant is nice for pictures if you like to post onsocial media. It's a little on the dark side for decent pics without a flash. It's like having a candle light dinner which isnice though. Drinks were good and were out quickly. Entrees came out within 15min or so. Eventhough my food was good, I left alittle hungry and finished my plate fast lol. The reason I took away 1 star is because it was a little pricey and on myparticular dish,(filet mignon) I didn't get enough bang for the buck. This is one of the most well known and popular restaurants in Clifton, NJ area, unique for it’s farm house style establishment... and esthetic interior. We gave it try on a Sunday evening, and were lucky to a table w/o reservation, it was packed inthere. They have a decent menu with good variety of items. We liked the deviled eggs, Mac & cheese from starters. But inentrees, it was disappointing. Pasta was okay, but Po’boy was needs some improvement. The bread was too big and thick, toastedw/o any flavor like butter or such. The shrimp was fried too, which kinda made the combo worse. Despite the food, I throughlyenjoyed their interior. So I almost gave this amazing establishment 5 stars The only reason why I didn’t give it a full five stars is not because I... did not enjoy the food. Food was amazing! Pizza was great (meat lovers). A little too greasy but I don’t mind folding mypizza and draining it off… We got some chicken fingers as appetizers! Guess what?! Ranch and honey is an amazingcombination. If I had more room I would have eaten the short rib grilled cheese but there is a bottom to my stomach afterall. What took away from the 5 stars and what may help me revise my review to 5 stars later was the service. Not good Almostdecent Just needed a little more attentiveness. Just a bit more. Good restaurant for family dinner or friends dinner. A little too loud and uncomfortable crowd for a date-night. Food: 5-star.... We had pesto pasta and falafel sandwich. Both were delicious. Drinks were 3/5. Could be better, but felt standard. Beersselection was 5/5 if you are into German beers, or local crafts. Desert menu left much to be desired. Did not feel like tryinganything.
