We have enjoyed the food while visiting w/old friends and new. Sadly, however, the wait staff has been poorly supervised.... There is certainly room for vast improvement. One of the most bewildering experiences we have encountered at a restaurant wasFri 9/16; we were advised there were no more clean dishes so the staff was unable to seat or serve people at 7:45pm. Disappointed. We chose El Charro in Clifton over Don Carlos in Waco. Hubby got his usual he thought. He asked the waitress about... it & she told him she would go & check in the kitchen, she never came back to answer him. She goes & sits down at the tablewhere 2 other waitresses were sitting & they all are on their phones. She finally come back to our table & my hubby asks heragain about his food. She said that it comes that way unless the customer ask for something different & said that if they don'tsay what they want she/waitresses guess what the customer would like. She leaves, gets back on her phone. She finally get up &walks around asking if anyone needs anything, we asked her for some more chips & she says ok. She goes back to her phone & wenever got chips! Hubby didn't get what he wanted. So we asked for to-go trays & we took the rest of our food home. We spentalmost $100.00 for our food. Will not be going back. Read more

Food is good. Our waitress didn't even smile or really talk to us at all. The little lady who brought us our food was nice and... the guy who checked us out was nice as well. Come for the food not the waitress. That's why I gave 4 not 5 stars. Read more

The food is good(other than the salsa always being watery) its the waitstaff are whats makes that place horrible. I have been to... this place 5 times. It was good when it first opened something happened in 2021 that just made it go down hill fast. Thewaitstaff does not know the menu, they give you the wrong order and when you tell them that isn't what you order they try toupcharge you for the order. I told them there was no way I was paying the difference because they messed it up. I know thingshappen but this just keeps happening. Read more

This place has horrible waitstaff, they can't even get a order right. We told them two 25. Taco al carbon one with chicken and... the other with beef instead we got just the al carbon with queso on them. We just wanted some dang tacos, and don't get mestarted on them trying to upcharge us for their mistake. I will no longer be eating here we have gave them 5 chances and eachtime just gets worse and worse. Read more

Had the breakfast burrito. Probably the best one I've had. Now I'll be going back for dinner one day. Well, I've been back twice... and I must say the food was great, however. The service is horrible. Both times it was not busy at all. Empty glass all the waythrough my meal. Drinking water (Not like it was costing anything for a refill).Try to get anyone's attention and they act likeyou've inconvenienced their conversations at the counter. Almost in a rude manner. The food was amazing and fresh. The rice was good and the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We all ordered something... different and ate almost all of it. Huge portions and good prices. We will be coming back! Read more
