My family recommended me to this place and we live in Waco. Let me tell you the food there was so good I had to get some ToGo!... The restaurant was super busy but that didn?t stop the waiters from being kind and attentive. I will most definitely be dininghere more often! Shout out to my incredible waiters Gina and I believe the other was Xavier. You guys ROCK! Read more

Stumbled upon this local favorite purely by accident. The lunch buffet today featured two of my faves ? chicken fried steak and... catfish. I usually avoid fried foods on a buffet, but these were great tasting and not mushy at all. Nice and fresh and crispy.Plenty of comfort food sides to go with them. The place bustled and service was excellent. Read more

We have been going to Johnny's for years on Sunday to the buffet which was $5.99, coffee included for seniors. The are under... new ownership and have raised their prices to $6.99 for seniors, which I would not have a problem with except, it is for onetrip to the buffet and coffee is no longer included and is $2.50 a cup. If you make more than the one trip it is $9.99. Because you have to get everything that you want in one trip it gets cold or be charged for all you can eat. I am verydisappointed in them. We are on a fixed income as most seniors are and what use to cost us $12.97 for 2 of us now cost us$19.00 and some change if we get coffee. This is disappointing and we will probably not be going as often as we use to, if we goat all. It may not seem like much but it is. Read more

Been here about hundred times over the years, food was always good and staff always pleasant UNTIL this past Saturday. Went in... (wasnt crowded at all) took 45 minutes to get a burger and a roast beef sandwich, burger bun soggy, gravy on roast beef wascold, didnt bring outthe macaroni cheese as ordered, didnt even touch our drinks cuz the tea was hot . Completely unsatisfiedfor the first time here, proceeded to leave without eating and did let waitress know we were leaving and wasn't paying for ameal that we didn't eat. Went to the counter to pay for the tea and soda not drank and the rude cashier AMY proceeded to chargeme a convenience fee on my card and i took my card back stating i didnt eat or drink anything and wasnt paying a conveniencefee, continuing to be rude AMY threaten to call the cops over $ 4.43... had my wife not been there i would have waited for thecops but i paid.... who the hell tought you customer service AMY, cooks have bad days but to be disrespected and treated rudelybecause i was dissatisfied is completely wrong , you should have been apologetic and not charged for the drinks but You and youalone AMY is the reason myself and others have stopped driving the distance from waco and china spring to come to clifton toeat... great job ! I may not be rich but you wont get a dime from me again.. Read more

Food was ok. We went at an off time so it was quiet and we were well taken care of for the most part. We ordered the chicken... salad. It was cool. Not cold, not room temp. But it was tasty. Mac and cheese that the kiddos got was homemade and excellent.Nothing else (besides Sonic) on our route so it sufficed. Read more
