FAVORITE breakfast place in Clinton! The food is really good, and the staff is very friendly! They form connections with... regulars, and it makes us feel welcomed! My boyfriend and I go here the morning after a night out, and our go to order is acouple burgers (mine with egg) and a milk shake! Sooo good! They do have an older crowd in the morning who like to stare whenyou walk in lol, but we don't mind! Everyone is friendly! Read more
Nice, small and clean restaurant. We went early to beat the possible crowd for the all you can eat fried fish on a Friday. ... There was one other couple here. I didn't get the fish special because the waitress couldn't tell us what kind of fish it was,and I'm not a fish eater so I ordered the cod from the menu because cod is a mild tasting fish. My fish was okay, except thebatter fell off when I would cut a piece. I would prefer a batter that stayed on, but the cod was mild, so I ate 2 pieces andgave my husband the other. My husband enjoyed the special and said the fish was also mild and crispy but much smaller piecesthan I had. All in all it was a nice place. Read more
I always love coming to cousins! They have some of the best breakfast food in town and at a great price and you get huge... portions too. Service is always friendly and quick! Food always comes out at the same time and all the dishes will still be hotand steamy. I almost always get biscuits and gravy for myself but I tend to bring friend along who get waffles or skillets oromelettes and I always snag a bite because its always ends up being tasty. Read more
Delicious and friendly breakfast in Clinton Iowa. Cousins Family Restaurant is a Quintessential, Small Family Business, and... doing a great job. The food for price and quantity was very good. I had the cinnamon roll and a breakfast burrito. Both weredelicious. The cinnamon roll was super soft, big, and really fresh. It was hard to share, that cinnamon-dream come true, as Iwanted to eat the whole roll; but was leaving room for the breakfast course. The roll was gone so fast, that the photo was of anempty plate! The breakfast burrito arrived, and I was initially underwhelmed, but wow...don?t judge a burrito by its cover. Itwas packed full of ingredients, very filling, and extremely tasty. A tortilla can make or break a burrito. This tortilla wasvery fresh, had great texture, and flavor. The tortilla deserves a standout mention, as it?s rare to be served a fresh tortilla,in a restaurant. Inside was eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, and potatoes; which were well proportioned, seasoned, and servedpiping hot. I liked how the eggs were prepared for the burrito; omelet-like, not scrambled; and served with good salsa and basicsour-cream. I tried to leave half for later, but the flavors begged to be consumed. I ate everything! I appreciated theattention to fresh and flavorful food. I noticed the ribeye special and almost ordered, but stuck to the burrito. I did see theribeye delivered to the next table, and it was a nice portion for the price. For $12 don?t expect a thick cut steak but doexpect a good steak. Everything here appears fresh, so it might take a little longer for food delivery. So if you?re starving,order dessert first... let them make you a deliciously fresh meal. Easy to get to. Had a fair crowd on a Friday night but not cramped at all. Surprisingly extensive and varied menu. Breakfast... served all day which is a good thing. I had the meat lovers skillet and it was hot and cheesy with the eggs over easy and wasvery good. Will be going back. Has a small town cafe feel with a very complete menu, was impressed. Good value.
