Today was my first time here I ordered the Catfush, Shrimp and Grits. It was excellent, i tasted the potato salad and had to... order it, i also ordered the baked beans asked first if they were vegetarian no pork whatsoever, he said they were but I'm notconvinced after tasting them. Mac and cheese NO FLAVOR. Yams not sweet at all NO FLAVOR. Rice DRY. Crab cake had hard pieces of something inside maybe the... shell. Greens salty. Don?t waste your money!! Read more
Asked for the pulled beef brisket today (which I have had here several times since the new ownership took over in July, and... which is my favourite thing on the menu), but was served sliced brisket instead. When I asked about it I was told they were notgoing to serve the pulled beef any more. The brisket that I got was tasty enough, but was the chewiest brisket I have ever had. The cabbage and black beans were both pretty good. I'm much less likely to go back if the pulled beef is really gone... Read more
We heard really good things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We ordered the beef brisket, pork ribs, hush... puppies and coleslaw. Everything was delicious! We had to travel 45 minutes each way to the restaurant and it was worth it! Ibelieve it is one of the best barbecue places in the DMV.
