I used to be sooo happy to find a cracker barrel on my travel route because of the beautiful culture and food selection they... have been going down now in my eyes for the past 5 years. Very good food. I got chicken and dumplings with 3 sides carrots, fried okra, and a sweet potato. It came with 2 buttermilk... biscuits that are delicious. All their food is cooked to perfection and very tasty. I have been to this restaurant before andevery time it does not disappoint. Inside is a cozy atmosphere and they also have an inside shop with goodies like candies,local handmade soaps, clothing, lip balm, toys, etc. Occasionally the restaurant is busy with a bit of a wait for dining inside.My pick up order was ready when I arrived. Went to Cracker Barrel because it was conviently located next to the Hampton Inn in Clinton, NJ. Had the roast beef with mashed... potatoes. Serving was just enough to fill, was not too impressed. This place is awesome. The gift shop was decorated for Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas which made it super cozy. And then the... food ...out of this world amazing! Comfort food! And The portions are Great for the price. I wish I didn't live so far fromhere, because I'd come here at least once a week! Read more
This my first time at a Cracker Barrel, ever. It was not a good experience. When we sat down, the table was a little dirty and... the silverware and menus had food stuck to them. The food came out as quick as a fast food restaurant. The food was pretty coldas if it had been sitting out for a previous customer. When we told the waiter who brought it out, he took it back and broughtit back in 25 seconds. You don't warm up roast beef in a microwave. After barely eating anything because my chicken friedchicken was not right and the potatoes felt like they had been sitting out too long and the biscuits and cornbread were verybland, I asked for the manager. I had explained everything to him and he comped our meal. Kudos to the manager for that. We hadleft the Cracker Barrel a little hungry. We will never go to one again. Read more
We stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Clinton, NJ for dinner on our way back home in PA. It was awesome! The wait time was minimal... and everything was organized. I am in a wheelchair and usually loathe bathrooms as they aren't handicapped friendly. Accessibledoes not mean the same as friendly. This one blew me away! It was more than big enough to fit my chair and maneuver aroundeasily. It had a sink, soap dispenser, and paper towel dispenser in the stall!!! Outstanding! Not only that the baby changingstation was NOT in the stall! That is so huge for me. I can't tell you how many times I've had to wait for the only handicappedstall in the bathroom. Anyway, I loved it. Our server Bennett was a 5 star even though his apron said 2 stars. He was awesome!!I waited tables for years and was a head server. I would have hired him in a heart beat!! Simply the best. The food was so goodand very well priced. We had leftovers and Bennett even offered us dessert and drinks to go! We took him up on the drink offer.My son is enamored and I'm sure we'll be back whenever we are out that way again. Highly recommended! Read more
