This place used to be great, short ribs were amazing and always the place to get a great steak. Now the best thing about this... $250 meal is the tiramisu made by an outside party and the wine that already comes bottled. I really couldn’t recommend thisplace less. Go to Cree Wine. You’ll definitely enjoy the food more and at least feel like you’re getting your money’sworth. Read more

Went to celebrate my birthday. Use to live in the area and always enjoyed the Clinton house. The food is still good. But on a... hot June day not to have a/c ruined the whole dinner. There were no fans , no portable a/c units . We were told it has been thatway since November.. Not a way to treat customers that paid $400. For a meal Read more

My sister took me to The Clinton House for dinner last night. She wanted me to try the food for my birthday. We had to drive... almost 90 minutes to get there. I doubted it would be worth the drive. I was wrong! It was fabulous! Our server was a delight. He was so friendly and attentive. I ordered the Beef Wellington. I have not had that particular dish in years because it tendsto be hard to find. Loved it!! Added a side of the Mashed Potatoes. They were also very delicious. The whole experience wasdelightful and I'm now plotting how to talk my husband into making the 90 minute trip(each way) for our anniversary dinner. Ihave 3 months. I'm working on it. Read more

OWNER RESPONSE refused to take responsibility for terrible meal. SPARE YOUR WALLET AND STOMACHS .....A beautiful atmosphere... ruined by a careless and unacceptably terrible kitchen. A remarkably bland, uncreative, and highly disappointing diningexperience. The head "chef" has managed to take what few fresh ingredients they receive and dress them down in a slurry offrozen vegetables and distasteful gravies. One glass of chianti was clearly re-corked and weeks old, yet still served. Onlything saving the place is its gracious wait staff, who seemed pre-poised to apologize for the terrible food. Pictured:cheesecake dessert, served up with a slice of red onion Additional - last two reviews feature same photos and were clearlyproduced by the restaurant. Read more

The Clinton House is the perfect place to enjoying good company, delicious food and a great and friendly service. The... environment en warm and relaxing, the ambient music is soft allowing conversation. The appetizer, a portobello fried wasperfectly cooked and very tasty. The main dish, a roasted duck was moist and well seasoned, the sweet potato purée was verywell balanced and a good match for the duck. Finally, the desert, a raspberry tart was the golden ribbon, a good balance betweenthe raspberry acidity the cream and ice cream that brought memories for grandma cooking. The wine selection was good to pairthese dishes. A historic place for a excellent lunch and an unforgettable good time!! Read more

Fire the manager. I never had such a horrible experience today’s date: November 14, 2021. No one needs to spend an hour for... two French dip sandwiches that we never received as the waitress that has only have a few customers (6) do not know where thefood goes for a table whom was waiting for close to 1.5 hours. The waitresses shrug their shoulders saying “I don’t knowwhich table this belongs to” the waitress leave the food siiting for 15 minutes and doesnt even care which table it belongsto. My husband and I witness this as we have waited and have asked the young female bartender twice nicely about our food. Aolder guys comes from the back to apologize. The younger waitress tall long dark hair ponytail gives me massive attitude. Irealize no one knows what they are doing. I request a check and say I want to leave. The hostess runs towards me and I repeatI’m leaving. We traveled from New Hope to this historic restaurant clearly the owners should know they need to fire everyone.I normally write only positive reviews I writing this so the owners can salvage this historic establishment.
