I went to this place for dinner on a friday. The A/C is busted and flies are covering the tables with crumbs on them. There was... only one other table instead of ours. The flies were bad we didnt notice until 5 mins into waiting that we kept swatting atflies. I ordered the buffalo wings and my spouse ordered a cheeseburger. 15 later i notice a man come from the back go into therestroom (cringe that he couldnt wait until after our order was out) he was drenched in sweat including his clothes all down hisback. Fast forward 10 mins our food comes out and my buffalo wings that are pictured on the menu look nothing at all like whatwas supposed to come out. The buffalo sauce was on the side and it had the look of a runny buffalo flavor thousand islanddressing. The wing had somekind of light color fiber that was thin and connected on it and i was told thats from plucking thechicken. And was told the buffalo sauce was made in the back. On another note my spouses burger bun was very soggy from whatappears to have been made prior to the wings being cooked. My spouse just peeled the mayo drenched bun off & ate it half openface. I was also told i couldnt get anything discounted or comped. i had asked if i could get a discount before paying that itwas advertised and pictured very differently on the menu. I was pretty polite n calm. Just paid and left with out any of my partof the meal. The cook who is also the Owner, name is Mike. He wouldn't come to the front of the house. Read more
It wasn't what I expected but it was good. They nailed the coleslaw & if you're a coleslaw eater you know that's not easy to... find. We got fried & grilled fish, had I known the grilled would be as good as it was I would have skipped the fried, althoughit was tasty as well. Read more
We were traveling back home and were so excited to see a billboard with Sam's Eatery. We had one in Lubbock,TX and then the... restaurant was gone without any explanation. Our food was delicious and our server was great. I am only giving this a 4 starbecause it was quite humid inside the building, the number plaques were dirty, flies in the building (but prob. couldn't helpthat alot) and it was completely silent. I would suggest background music and a fan to circulate the air. We would try again wetravel twice a year to visit family. Read more
The first time I ate here, I liked everything. So much so that my sister and I went again a week or so ago and took our family... order home. This time, I was not impressed at all. The fish we got in our family order was much smaller and thinner thanbefore, we ordered 2 large family sides of hushpuppies and only 2 hushpuppies in the box, the macaroni was so dry and appearedto be just like the boxed mac and cheese only very, very dry and tasteless. We had to warm it up, add milk and butter to makeit tolerable to eat, and the order of FF that we got was very small, they were cold and had no crispiness to them at all. We hadto put the fries in the air fryer to warm them up and make them crispy. This second experience left us all very disappointed. Iam not sure if I will eat there again after spending money on an incomplete family meal that was room temperature, sub-par andneeded more cooking/preparation on our part to make it eatable. I popped into this nondescript place on a whim. Great Cajun food! I had the fish and shrimp, both were cooked perfectly. I order... a side of fried pickles and it was HUGE! More than enough for two or three people. My only complaint is that things were a bittoo salty, but that's it, loved it otherwise. Thanks! Read more
It?s a good place to try your favorite seafood. I love the sea food here. Chicken strips are also delicious. Chicken grilled... philly sandwich is good. Best part is their Sam?s sauce. Catfish is delicious here. They can do however we want either grilledor fried. I think they are little greasy but they are tasty and yummy shrimp is ????. Give it a try if u love seafood. Theircoleslaw is on of the best I ever had and their hush puppies are savoury. Read more
