We go to this ramen place at least once a week. My son absolutely loves the ramen here and will have an entire bowl to himself,... ask for extra noodles and slurp up the soup. So happy that we finally found a local restaurant that we can all enjoy as afamily! I highly recommend. Read more

I was recommended this place by a friend who said it was Japanese owned. Hearing that instantly made me want to try it out. I?ve... been searching for a local authentic ramen shop. This place has exceeded my expectations. There are more ramen options on theself order ipad in store vs their online menu. It is quite a small establishment but it feels warm and authentic. The chefs cookthe noodles and prepare the soup right in front of you. They have jugs of water and utensil cups in from of you. Reminded me ofthe ramen shops I?ve been to in Japan. There?s one booth with about 5 seats and two tables I think. Delicious and will return! Read more

It was very satisfying. Light broth, chashu was great, noodles were cooked very well (sun noodles I believe) and the ambiance... was very authentic. Nice small ramen shop, so you may expect a wait. Will be back to try other options. Kinda pricey but I getit with the cost of food etc. ???? Read more

One of the best authentic ramen I have ever had! Places is pretty small but very quick. If you sit at the bar, you can see how... they make your ramen, which I really enjoyed seeing. The ramen is not too salty so you aren?t thirsty after your bowl of ramen.Every ingredient tastes really fresh (peep the empty bowl in my pictures). Pork was so tender and had no funky smell. Noodleswere so good and perfectly cooked. Every bite was very memorable! We had this after our hike at Giant Stairs :) FYI you walk inand order with the iPad before sitting down. Read more

Of all the ramen places I've tried, this is the best. The place is small but cozy, which gives it a very homey atmosphere. I... really love how simple, yet authentic and delicious the food here is. Many other ramen places tend to have a lot of filler. Thebroth is delicious and there is a perfect amount of noodles, meat, and veggies. I am looking forward to my next visit. Read more

One of the finest ramen shops in New Jersey. The cooking is treated with a lot of care and attention to detail, and the staff... are attentive. Orders placed ahead on kiosk. Don't come for a wide selection; come for very focused, homemade comfort food. Read more

Pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to ramen in the neighborhood or even in jersey in general. They have Shio(salt) or... Shoyu(soy sauce) broths along with Wafu Shio/Shoyu with 3 types of meat chicken chasu, pork braised or pork sous vide. The soupwas hot enough, wasn't oily, refreshing. The meat both chicken and the pork were soft and flavorful but not as fatty as one mayhave had in other places. The rice with chicken/pork meat wasn't my thing but if you feeling some rice you can get a combo orextra noodles for about 3 dollars more like other ramen places. If it's busy and you want to eat in you can leave your name andnumber and they can call you when a spot opens up. If not you can just get takeout or delivery through doordash but they areunderstaffed and might not be able to fulfill those orders. Anyways you order through a tablet at the door they take apple paycredit card samsung pay etc. Kinda similar to in Japan they got those ticket machines. Read more

I went to Ramen Matsu today for lunch and hours later, I find myself still thinking about the bowl I had. Each component of my... meal was very considerably thought out and it shows. The care and craftsmanship put in to the care of the food is distinctivelyof another level. However, that's not what I believe to be the true mark of why this restaurant is unique. Here, you won't findany regular tonkotsu ramen, as Chef has decided to branch out of the norm and bring variety to the scene. Showcasing shoyu, shio, abura, and even vegan ramen, the love and passion here for ramen is loud and clear. Truly a gem, I wish to see morerestaurants be like Ramen Matsu to dare to break from the usual. I will be back and can't wait to see what Chef serves up next! Read more
