A very authentic American eatery The best burger I had in years. Very nice service. They purposefully keep it feel ?real... America? ?Ike Oregon coast used to be?. I also like their logo: ?A little drinking village with a fishing problem? Read more

We were looking for a good breakfast spot in Pacific City and this place had pretty good reviews. All in all, it was definitely... tasty but kind of a weird atmosphere. It is setup almost like someones dining room. It's a very homey atmosphere and the hotfood (as well as the wide variety baked goods were all delicious). We split a raspberry Danish to start and then I got Spinach,Bacon, and Cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes and a biscuit. My girlfriend got scrambled eggs and Canadian bacon. Everythingwas really good. The omelet was perfectly fluffy and the biscuit came with great whipped butter. I would definitely recommendgetting that as your "bread". Village COFFEE shoppe loses points for subpar coffee. It was very watered down and I ended upgetting coffee from the gas station across the street. PRO TIP: THEY ONLY TAKE CASH. And there is no ATM. Be sure to stopsomewhere to get cash first. No Venmo or PayPal either. All in all, this was a good breakfast and I liked that we were eatingamongst locals as opposed to the yuppies on vacation. With that said, I wish we had tried somewhere else. Read more

We decided to forego a place down the road that we like to try this place. Photos of the food looked really good, and a great... overall rating. The corned beef hash was very bland and dry. It was made with canned corned beef, which is fine, but notflavorful at all. I also ordered sourdough toast?the toast was also very bland. Not salty flavor or ?sour? flavor. The gravy wasvery thick, canned gravy. The only thing I enjoyed was the service and the coffee. We were also surprised when we went to paythe bill that they don?t take cards??there?s only a small sign on the register. I don?t feel that?s right to do, but I guess itprevents people from leaving due to not taking cards. Likely won?t be back. Read more

The food here was great. We arrived at 10:20 on a Wednesday morning to find the place packed and a line of people waiting for a... table. As I waited to out my name down for a table, I overheard the chatter of other customers with the friendly staff. Lots oflocals eating there, which was why we decided to wait an hour to get a table for our party of 6. The place is tiny and not muchto look at. We were finally seated outside which was perfect for us. We had: chicken strips, a cheeseburger, clam chowder, pancakes with strawberries, a Denver omelette, and biscuits and gravy. Everyone cleaned their plates and sampled each other?sdishes. My 10 year old also got a giant chocolate chip cookie to take home. As noted in several other reviews, it is cash onlyand not posted anywhere. But my husband was able to walk over to the Shell station and use the ATM and so it wasn?t a problem. Read more

Cash only, wasn't mentioned when we walked in. Usually we don't have cash on us. Luckily today we did. Had the biscuit and two... eggs, gravy was gross kinda cold. Tasted out of the can. No seasoning. Eggs fine needed salt too. But was definitely a cheapbreakfast Read more

CASH OR CHECK ONLY! That caught me by surprise. But there is a gas station at the corner where you can use the ATM. The gas... station clerk said they don't do cash back, so you'll have to pay the ATM fee. The food is great but skip the O.J. it's made byDole and has a weird banana/pineapple aftertaste which isn't bad if that's your thing and I'm not here to judge you or yourweirdness. I had the chicken fried steak with eggs over medium and they were perfect. Read more

Polite staff and standard pricing for a coffee/breakfast place but will never come back here. The bread bowl for my soup was so... chewy it felt like I was chewing gum and tasted terrible. Literally for my entire meal the the table next to me was not bussedand just had trash/dirty dishes sitting there. They only accept cash or check but have no signs beyond a card taped to the frontof the register that's less than 2 inches wide. Had to walk to the gas station and pull cash from an ATM which charged me a $4fee. If your business only accepts 2 firms of payment maybe make that obvious to your customers before they order their food, sit down and have a meal. Soup was good at least. Read more

This tiny cafe was really amazing, I fell in love with it. I ordered chicken tacos, an oatmeal bowl and biscuits and gravy. All... the food was hearty and delicious with large portions and extremely value for money. The servers were so warm and friendly. Idefinitely recommend visiting here instead of some of the other larger establishments in the vicinity. Read more
