Very Early breakfast just our table but food is fantastic

I love this restaurant! The waiters were amazing and very accommodating, they were almost empty at 8 but the food wasn't bad... whatsoever. We got crepes, a cookie, chai latte, clam chowder, and a chicken and vegetable soup and they were all delicious. Thesoups tasted gourmet, the crepes were delicious, the chai latte was smooth, almost like an horchata, and the cookie was perfectfor a sweet tooth, I recommend you share it! This is a family-friendly restaurant, serving a wide variety of good food. They have a short but good selection of beer and... wine. And the dessert menu is awesome. Our Server was polite with a cheerful smile and took her time to explain the menu, answering all of our questions. The rack of... ribs where delicious and just fell off the bones which showed that they where cooked to perfection. Also the rack of ribs whereso large that I had to take some home. Well worth the drive to Cobourg from Pickering to visit our friends and eat with them atthe Symposium. Can't wait for our next "dinner visit". Read more

Our first visit here was a little off and I gave it 4 stars. Today however was a 5 star performance. The atmosphere was... relaxing. The music was just the right volume and the food was on point. What really made it though was the manager Krystal whoremembered us and our last experience. She truly cares about her patrons. Thank you. Equally impressive was our server, Lauren.I’ve been going to restaurants for over 40 years and rarely have I met someone who put as much interest and enthusiasm intohelping us as she did. We had a late lunch and the meal was wonderful. Good portions, good service. We ordered a piece of carrot cake to go as it... looked deliciousin the display case. Well... what a disappointment when we opened it. For the price of a slice of cake, ($12+ ?)we thought it would be more than a sliver. The picture they show on the website is not what we got.
