Second time and it continues to be so delicious! I was craving smothered porkchops and cabbage. It was so easy ordering my... pickup order online. My meal was ready, as promised via text, on time. There was delicious and tender porkchops on a bed ofrice. The two sides I chose, which was hard to do because I wanted everything, were cabbage with macaroni and cheese. I had tobe extra and ordered fried okra, too. They gave me a slice of cornbread, too- I love eating my cabbage or greens with my fingersand cornbread!???? Their desserts are fabulous! I ordered my favorite slice of pound cake, but they were out, so I chose theslice of keylime cake. I had a craving and it was fulfilled- they understood the assignment! We've gotta support our localfamily businesses- they're the ones cooking up fresh food. Sometimes, we may have to pay a little more because it's made withtrue dedication and love. This pregnant girl is VERY satisfied- I had the fried pork chops, Mac n cheese (yummmm) collard greens (yummmm) cornbread... (yummmm) and it came with rice and gravy. They were SO nice and friendly. I will definitely be back, (I need to bring my Husbandnext time) and I highly recommend!! Read more
The food was amazing. I had smothered pork chops and the wife has the meatloaf. We ordered fried green tomatoes, and they were... very good. I had mac-n-cheese and fried okra. Both were amazing. My wife had dressing and the mac-n-cheese. The dressing was asgood as Mom makes it! Everything comes in to go containers, but don't let that stop you. I was looking for a great place to eat on break from work and found this little gem. I ordered the fried fish dinner which came... with rice and two sides plus cornbread. Stopped by today for a late lunch. I am not well versed on soul food but from what I hear it is very good. I had the gravy... smothered pork chops over a bed of rice with a side of cabbage and macaroni and cheese. Chef?s Kitchen is the real deal. Theportion size was enormous. You get a lot for what you pay for. The food was fabulous. I could order a bowl of that gravy anddrink it. That gravy was a homerun. I met the chef. I think the said his name was Mike. He was very personable andpassionate in what he does. I will definitely be back. Next time I am trying the gravy smothered meatloaf. Don?t sleep onthis place. They are the real deal! Read more
