Country Cookin Diner was a fantastic breakfast experience to start the morning. The prices were affordable, service polite and... helpful, and most importantly the food was delicious. Serving an authentic southern-styled breakfast, this diner was one wewould return to for sure. Read more

Was super disappointed that the only thing "country" about this place is the name. I was expecting good southern food, but what... kind of southern breakfast doesn't even put salt in their grits? Salting your grits is basically a law, unless you're from upnorth. I heard a waitress tell another customer "we're out of sweet tea, but I can bring you unsweetened tea and extra sugar"which is another broken law of southern food. The interior looks like they went in to Michaels and got super excited over thesale on "live laugh love" signs. There are quite a few places in this area that offer actual real southern breakfast - for abetter price. sticking a sign on your wall about chickens and flags doesn't make you country, and neither does the name. Saltyour grits! Read more

I gave it two stars because the service was good and the cook did a good job in spite of the low quality ingredients he was... given to work with. Overall, definitely not going back there again unless they increase the quality of their ingredients. Theissue I have with this place is with the very low quality of the ingredients in the Ultimate Omlet I ordered. The first couplebites, I literally had to spit out and check what the heck I just put in my mouth. Turned out my visceral reaction was due tothe spinach, mushrooms, and bacon, all of which are ingredients that I normally love. I had multiple bites where I had to stopto pull out what I thought was hair from my mouth, turned out the spinach had very tough, long fibers in the stems. Gross. Inormally like canned mushrooms, I sometimes even eat them on a salad, but these canned mushrooms tasted terrible. I had to pullthem all out, but the taste from them still bled over to the other ingredients. But the worst ingredient in the omelet was thebacon, if you can call it that. It had no bacon flavor at all and the texture was somewhere between jerky and cardboard. It wasclearly not the same bacon you get when you order their strips of fried bacon. I'll also mention, the "home fries" were notfried at all, they were just boiled potatoes that were diced, which I like boiled potatoes , so not a big deal, but I was reallylooking forward to some home fried potatoes, which is not what they gave me.
