Just left. Lady at the counter looked past me to a lady that clearly walked up behind me and took her order. She then walked... away and began making sandwiches. The owner stepped up and got the pizza I had ordered. What was disgusting I saw her wipe theside of her nose with no gloves and began to make sandwiches.. Have been going here for over 40 years and sorry this was thelast. Undressed pizza was placed on the counter near customers. Food safety and sanitation is questionable. Background: Been to NYC 15-20 times and have had pizza there often. Travelled across Italy three times and had amazing pizza... there as well. So I've had a lot of great pizza. Oddly the pizza in both locations was cheaper too (as little as $6 for a pie inNapoli). Review: Got two 14" pizzas: a pepperoni/ sausage and tomato/ bacon. The former was a little too salty (bad choice incombining two porks on my part) but the latter was very good. The pizza was good but not exceptional (wish we had the option forfractional stars as I'd give them 3.5-3.75). Their toppings were fresh and tasty to be fair. On the value curve they're inlinewith Dominos, just further up the curve. Worth trying but not going out of your way for. Service was good. They might actuallybe the best pizza in the county, but that's saying just as much about their competition as it is about them (low bar). Willlikely not return as I'm okay with Dominos for significantly less. Read more
The white pie tasted rather tangy. Like they put lemon juice in the ricotta but I could be wrong. I did like the cheese &... texture but I wouldn?t order that again. The wings were great despite being baked. I will be back. Read more
I decided to order a pizza by phone from Odyssey. I am 77 years old and I never order out. But I raised my family here and we... used to go to Odyssey all the time many years ago. We picked the pizza up exactly at the time we were told it would be ready andbrought it home. I had really been wanting a pizza and was anticipating this experience. It was awful! It was not hot. Theingredients were fairly tasteless. But the worst part was that the crust was absolutely sopping wet and soggy! It brought backthe reason why I had stopped going to this place long ago. I had a terrible experience then. I will never go back. I will tellpeople my experience and not encourage them to go either. This is only the second review I've ever done in my life. You just can?t go wrong odyssey. Pizza or subs NEVER disappoint! One review mentioned best pastrami outside NYC. As someone who... lived in Brooklyn for 4 yrs, I second that. And there?s no better compliment than that. Read more
