This was my first time at Grandma\'s Kitchen and boy am I pleased! The owner is very nice and showed great hospitality! I love... that it\'s family owned and they share personal touches on the walls, I could feel the love in the room! The fried pork chopswere my favorite along with the greens, 5/5 for me! Read more

I wanted sooooo bad to like this restaurant and I had really high hopes for it! I was excited to see a southern restaurant and... what they had to offer! Then thinking that I would no longer have to travel to Sunday?s Eatery for Southern Food (unless I amcooking it myself). My coworkers and I first got it and we were thinking it was okay! All of us agreed but at that time, I wouldhave rated it a 3.5. I got the catfish, macaroni & yams! Okay! I didn?t feel like cooking on a Sunday and opted to go here formy family- almost $60 later- my husband and I deemed it the WORST MEAL of the Year from a restaurant. He got the catfish (sway)with yellow rice and greens! He said the only decent thing was the greens! He spit out the yellow rice and played with the fish.I got pork hops (fried in old grease), macaroni and yams (I can confirm they are canned because the lady after me that orderedasked). My kids had wings and fries! I bit off the chops and knew immediately I wouldn?t like it but I proceeded and tried toforce it down! I threw out 90% of the food! The young lady that assisted me is the reason for the 2 stars! She was pleasant.Would I eat here again- SOLID NO ???? and I really wanted to support!\n\nUpdate:8/14/22. Maybe I wrote it where it wasmisunderstood but my coworkers and I went in May and we didn?t think it was horrible. However, my family and I ate on 7/10 (1month ago) and it was not good AT ALL! The dates are on the receipts included. And the food wasn?t as bad on that visit with thecoworkers! I broke down what I got on each visit. Read more

Just had a great tasting meal here. The greens, Mac & cheese and fried chicken were on point. Pork chops too. Was bummed about... them not having sweet potatoe pie or banana pudding for dessert though but hopefully next time they will. Also...I think thecook forgot our cornbread. Overall the food was just like I remember having been born & raised in SC. Read more

The food was absolutely great. We ordered catfish and fried pork chops and fried ribs. The sides were plentiful and delicious.... You can not go wrong with whatever you order. You can feel the family love in the atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Read more

Super friendly owner and staff. We had a large luncheon there with our club and could not have had a better experience. The... food was enjoyed by everyone and the portions were so large many of us took the rest home. Highly recommend!!! Read more

Friendly staff, clean restaurant, but food did not have a soul food taste. Mac and cheese did not have taste you will taste more... pepper than you taste the cheese it was bland, the candy yams were not good, collard greens were alright but nothing to raveabout. The food is lacking taste and flavor. I get that you don?t want to put seasoning on food so customers may not complainthat this is too salty or sweet but the food was bland..like the previous post the sides need HELP! Read more
