I've been to many Mexican restaurants and this one is the best by far. We took some visiting from out of state family there for... dinner last night and they also agreed it was the best they'd had. Server was excellent and attentive. Food was hot, portionswere huge, prices great, and everything we had was absolutely delicious! The fish tacos were stand out amazing. The margaritaswere made the right way and didn't taste like cheap mix. Will definitely go back. Booths are a bit tight so would definitelyrecommend table seating for groups of 4. Read more

We had a great experience today at Azteca in Riverstone! I know they were short on staff, which is not anything they can control... so I didn't think they should lose a star over that, and they were all so friendly, which they could've been stressed out, butthey didn't act it at all! We got chips, salsa and soda, they took our order and when our food was delivered to our table it waspiping hot, which obviously is great! I used to come here regularly and it’s coworkers and the service has gone down each time. I understand understaffing is... affecting all of us, but rather than over extend staff consider closing sections off to retain the employees you do have. Thelast three times I’ve come here I’ve been passed by several employees without being greeted or asked if I had been helpedetc. tonight not only did that happen but we were told by several wait staff someone else would be with us shortly. Eventuallysomeone did come to our table, he was rude, simply. My boyfriend had to go to our car to get our water bottles because both ourwaters had so much debris in them, even after asking nicely for it to be replaced. Even after receiving the mediocre food, wewere quickly ushered out by the waiter, a full hour+ before closing. I will not be returning :( Read more

This restaurant treats you and feeds you like you're paying $3 for a meal, but charges you $20. Very subpar. I saw a lot of... locals giving it a high review, so I thought it would be good. I guess that's what I get for trusting someone who has lived inNorthern Idaho their whole life on Southern Mexican cuisine. Hah Being seated was quick(came on a Monday at 5:45pm), and thechips were yummy. That is where the 2 stars came from. Everything else was 1 star. Service was slow and we felt neglected, foodwas bland, dry, and gross. Menu was very hard to read (had a cover over it that wasn't completely see-through). Outrageouslyover priced. Most things were $18-$25. I ordered 1 tamale and my husband ordered 3 floutas. Our bill was $26. We had to ask forour chips to be re filled, and we heard two other tables had to ask as well. Company policy is probably to not give refillsunless they ask. Same thing goes for the soda and water. There is no close parking. I didn't even finish my one tamale. They putred enchilada sauce all over it (probably to mask how dry it was) and it was terrible. Definitely not authentic ortraditional. Would never return here. I would never reccomend this restaurant. I wish I could get a refund, that is howdisappointed I am. Read more

My experiences at this location have always been enjoyable. The service is friendly and the food portions are generous. Takeout... is great and well packaged with salsa and chips. We have eaten here for four years and we intend to continue. They have starteda new policy concerning chips and salsa when you dine in. You no longer get two small dishes of salsa or refills oncomplimentary chips and salsa. You now only get one basket of chips and one small dish of salsa. Read more
