Deb & I stopped for lunch today in search of a good Chinese restaurant. The place was open/bright and clean. Lots of older... folks enjoying lunch so we knew we struck gold. Food is a 3 and a 1/2 star. Everything we had was incredibly fresh and hot but very much inconsistently seasoned. Some things... were bland, and some things were over salted. Kung pao was weird with a brown gravy and zero spice. Their Chow Mein with theircrunchy noodles is called chop suey, and it's basically like Chow Mein with no onion and a little bit bland with fried wontonson the side. Strange. Update 11/6/2022: Angel was our server again and as always provided great service. The food was great this evening as well... although the soup was barely lukewarm. Probably should have sent it back. Otherwise yet another tasty meal at Chinatown. Ifyou're looking for decent Chinese food in Coeur d'Alene, Chinatown will satisfy the craving. The service was good. The food wasfreshly prepared. Most importantly the food was hot and tasted good although the shrimp was not my favorite. The sweet and sourchicken however was delicious. All white meat with a sweet sauce somewhat reminded me of a Mc'Ds chicken nugget with sweet &sour dipping sauce (take that for what it's worth). Got the strawberry banana smoothie for a drank. So Dank! Extremely flavorful, like dank party in the mouth. For food got garlic... chicken and spent the extra to upgrade my rice to house rice. Was happy with that decision lots more flavor. Went great withsoy, sweet sour sauce, veggies and by itself! Tried it in part ions every way! Veggies all had Flavor and crunch to them bythemselves or eaten together. Even the zucchini and broccoli was not mush! Very impressive! This restaurant is the best place for Chinese food in CDA! I've been coming here for over 4 years and have never had a bad... experience. The dining room is quaint, comfortable and clean. The food is very flavorful, always cooked perfectly and you'reblessed with large portions. The service is always friendly with a high degree of accuracy. I highly recommend this localestablishment. This place was next to our hotel and the reviews were good, so we thought we try it out. It was so worth it. Great customer... service and the food was delicious. The best Chinese food I had in a very long time. I got one of the lunch specials and you getso much for your money. I definitely will back again whenever I visit Idaho. Read more
Customer service is good, and the cleanliness of this place is spectacular! I would definitely go back. I just rated them... average because I didn't think the sesame chicken was very good because of the sauce they put over it. It tasted more likeorange chicken. The rice was good, and the lunch portion size was very big with reasonable prices. We will go back but just trysomething different next time. Read more
