None of my family members (and I have dozens) frequent coffee shops or downtown CDA so we?d never been but my Aunt, who was... visiting from CA for the first time and was so impressed by CDA had to be the one to experience Evans Bros. She wanted to treatus to coffee so her and another aunt went there. She complimented the ?employee of the month? for his award and both aunts weretaken aback by his cold response. Then, they returned with the coffee and realized one iced coffee was missing the cream and thecoffee was so bitter not even the black drinkers would drink it or the ones they received. Us froo-drop blended drinkers had tomake do with iced mochas because they didn?t have a blender?!? First time for everything I guess. At least the three of us wereable to drink it because of the cream and flavor but not one of the 8-10 family members were happy with their order. I think wewill send any guests to the vault instead, as they are always consistently good. Read more
Traveling through Northern Idaho this week and we stopped at Evans Brothers three times in four days: twice in CDA and once in... Sandpoint. We enjoyed iced and hot lattes, turmeric chai, and a seasonal blackberry sage latte. Lovely ambiance and friendlybaristas. They?ve also got some great marketing and gear and we picked up a couple of mugs to give as gifts. Read more
I picked up two summer seasonal coffees today - Strawberries N? Cream Cold Brew and Iced Blackberry Sage Latte. The Strawberries... N? Cream Cold Brew was for my bro-in-law, but it had too much flavor for him. I drank both drinks. They were good. Some peoplecan?t hang. I?d return and try the other summer seasonal drinks. This hidden gem has a super friendly and chill vibe. The staff is helpful and friendly and eager to make you a cup of pure... happiness. Being a cappuccino connoisseur, I had to get my drink of choice. With my first sip, I was transported back to Italy.If you live here, you?re lucky. If you visit CDA, you must try it. Coffee and pies ? what?s not to love? Better still, Josh and team took time to make the perfect Italiano with an espresso that... was complex, interesting, and delicious.
