While visiting the city my wife and I dropped in for some burgers! I was intrigued by the sound of the Midtown Madness (mashed... potatoes and braised beef) and was surprised how different and good it tasted to a typical burger. The fries were nice andcrispy as well! My wife had the Peach Bourbon BBQ Burger. Similarly, she was surprised how good the peaches were on the burger.Her side salad had a nice variety (and plenty of) fresh veggies. I rated service less because our server ended her shift afterour order (which is fine and understandable) but a farewell or check-in from the new server would have been appreciated. So glad I learned about this restaurant with many gluten free options. Our server was Amanda and she was fantastic. She went... above and beyond to answer questions, make recommendations, and check on us throughout the meal. The food was amazing! We triedthe cornbread as an appetizer. We also had the Apple whiskey chicken sandwich and the Midtown Madness. Highly recommend eitherof these sandwiches. The flavors were delicious, but we couldn’t finish the meals because the portions were large. Did Imention the fries? They were also very tasty. Dipping sauces for the fries are also offered. My wife and I came here and absolutely loved it. We had four appetizers and a desert so we got to sample several things. The... fact that the restaurant was 95% gluten free was an awesome thing for us. The fried pickles and fried chicken were excellentand the house made sauces really hit the spot. The cornbread was served with honey. Where has this been all my life?!? Wepolished it off with a blueberry crumble that was the perfect way to end. The service gets some recognition to. The housemanager was our server and she was excellent. Everyone there seemed happy to be there and it really helped with the vibe of theplace. This is going to be my new fav! Every meal we ordered was flavorful and perfectly cooked! My peach bacon burger was so delicious... I couldn’t believe it was gluten and dairy free! I cant say enough positive things about our experience at Izzy's. The wife and I went here for a date Nate and absolutely... everything was incredible. The service the food the drinks! There was a small mistake with our bill and they ended up notcharging us for two drinks to make up for it. Our drinks were so delicious and the food was flawless. I can't recommend thefried pickles enough. I had the bloody Mary and my wife had the Moscow mules for drinks and they were incredible. They also givea 20% discount for veterans! Amazing experience. Taking comfort food to an entire new level with an affordable price. Please be aware that the location has a small dining area,... so expect longer wait times. However the wait was completely worth it. The burgers were juicy and there were a lot of friesloaded onto our plates. The beverages were very good. Make a reservation if you can, you won't regret it! Izzy's is the restaurant that feeds your soul as well as your stomach. It feels like coming home after a long time away. The... staff feels like family and never fail to welcome us with open arms and huge smiles. The owners are absolutely amazing and takesuch pride in the amazing food they create and their commitment to their staff. In today's society to see an establishment thatactually truly cares about these things is so heartwarming. It doesn't hurt that the food is the best I have ever tasted.Sometimes there's a wait but honestly there's a wait because it's worth waiting for. If you want takeout or quickness go eatfast food. We visited Izzy’s on a Friday night and it was humming! Love that there is support for local businesses. Our server Megan was... AMAZING. So kind and had great recommendations. We ordered cornbread, chicken strips, pot roast and both of the desserts(pumpkin tres leches and blueberry crumb). Everything was decadent without being too heavy and so comforting in the coldweather. Kudos to the Izzy’s team! We will be back. Read more
