The slices were cooked well, but the sauce tasted like it was way over seasoned with garlic. Crust also didn't have a lot of... flavor. The staff was very friendly though, and our slices came out quickly. Great prices too! Read more

Not impressed. We decided to try the pizza because we?ve had sandwiches here which were great. We ordered a large pizza with... sausage and onion. It was not worth $26 and a 45 minute wait. There was 1 or 2 little pieces of onion on each slice, verylittle sausage and hardly any sauce. Read more

Excellent pizza, though sauce was a little sweet for my taste. We started with lemon pepper wings and they were phenomenal. ... The service was good and the aesthetics of the dining room feature vintage advertising. We will definitely be back. Read more

Had a craving for chicken wings so I called ahead to try their wings. Their pizzas are very good as are their sandwiches.... Bought 16...8 with honey mustard and 8 with parmesan garlic. They were good but extremely expensive. $26. A little steep. Thewoman in the take out area was extremely friendly and laughing and they were busy!!! I think we will stick with pizza andsandwiches! If everything in a pizza place can be judged by the cheese pizza, The Plum Tomato is One of the best wood fired pizza places in... CT. I really like the rustic atmosphere and the friendly people here. Try the Sammy the Bull sandwich! Incredible flavors! Read more

Pizza is decent here. The grinders leave something to be desired. For $20 a whole grinder and $11 for a half you would think... these would be "over stuffed". Not even close. Look at the picture of the "Vinny". Does that look like a $20 grinder? Thisgrinder is 65% bread. There is barely any chicken on them and it's shaved so thin to begin with. And the chicken is very drytoo. You can forget trying to find many onions, bacon bits or the gorgonzola. I had to even add my own barbeque sauce. Whentalking to the manager I told him about my disappointment I was told "the chef makes them all the same and felt their was enoughon them". His resolution was too make some more. I asked him if that seemed like a fair resolution after I just ate my dinnerand he agreed and said "No". Judging by the other 1 star reviews, I can see I'm not the only one having this problem withportions. Read more
