We are from Pennsylvania, and we were looking for something different to eat. We end up finding this hidden treasure. And we... saw they had Alligator meat so guess what we were in! And I have to said it was amazing ???? the food was cook to perfection???? we also had frog legs ???? and our waitress Noah hands down super friendly and sweet . First time visiting the Knotty Pine On The Bayou. I heard so many things about this restaurant, I wanted to try it out for... myself. I heard they had great Happy Hour. Plus it's still on their website. When I walked in, just reminded me of a typicaldive restaurant. I ordered frog legs, alligator, salad, tea. As I waited on my food to come, I started talking to some localsthat frequent this restaurant. Everyone told me that they aren't happy because the "Happy Hour" prices stopped. Some ridiculousstory about COVID, pleaseeee. C'mon stop with the COVID excuses. It's called the owner being cheap. LOL Why would you take away"Happy Hour" prices if it brings in the customers. That to me is a bad move on the owners part. The locals said to bring "HappyHour" back ASAP. By then, my meal finally comes. I made sure I told the bartender/waitress, I don't want any black pepper on myfood. I'm allergic!! Well... guess what was on my order? Yelp, black pepper. I sent it back and finally they actually got myorder correct. After tasting the food at the Knotty Pine On the Bayou. I thought the food was just alright and I probably won'tgo back. It looked delicious, but tasting it was a different story. My bill came to $100.00 and that was a bit high for what Iordered. I left not only with a nasty taste in my mouth from the food, but listening to locals that frequent this restaurantupset over the price change, made me think.... I'll have dinner elsewhere next time.
