Reviews for Round Up in Cold Spring, NY
Near perfect. I am from South Texas and can honestly say this is the best bbq I have had outside the lone star state. Brisket... was perfect. Fried okra was perfect. Potato salad was great, my woman loved the cornbread. Im around 65 miles from theirlocation but will most definitely be coming back, often! Read more
The cook and cashier were friendly. The food portion was big. We had Fried okra and we like it.
The sample plate is a perfect amount of food for two. Everything is tender and falls off the bone. Sauce was pretty typical... though. Read more
This may be the best BBQ I've had outside of Texas. The brisket has a perfect char (make sure to ask for burnt ends if... possible). The pork ribs and sweet sausage were delicious. You can tell the mac & cheese is made from scratch, not a box, andhas a bit of a kick to it. Even the corn bread was great. And it's affordable by NY BBQ standards. Can't wait to go back! Read more
Due to COVID, traveling and visiting restaurants have been something hard to come by. This is a rare gem of a space with plenty... off outdoor space and vaccinated worker and employer. I am glad to find this place out of a random search for burger. We end upgetting Texas bbq instead which is much better Our hiking spot is about 5 minutes drive from this place and it was easy to findoff the route. Just be careful coming down the road because sherif is parked nearby for speeders. So don't drive too fast foryou hungry folks. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there are 75% empty benches outdoor. Parking is not an issue except forthose having decision problem because there are so many. To the food!! We got two combo due to decision issue and fries andpotato salad. Combo has a mix of short rib, sausages and brisket. Portion is a small but great for the waist line right!!!Brisket is a little dry but it's decent enough. Right is top of the line. This place can sold out of stuff so be patient. Wewalk away pretty full after this order. Price is reasonable. I love the wood bench and paper towel. Sorry we ate all the foodtoo fast to take some pictures. Read more
I've come here many times over the years, sampled the menu, the sides - but I keep coming back for the ribs. Those ribs. I've... had BBQ all over the country, and these smoked ribs have never been beat. And almost every time I've been in the dining room -back in the day when that was commonplace - Bill the pitmaster has always come in and asked me how I was doing and if I wasenjoying my meal. No sauce necessary - just great cut of meat, rub and smoke. It falls off into your mouth, and you believe inthe nobility of humankind once again. Read more

Not sure how this place has almost 5 stars. People were really nice so I feel bad leaving this review. Brisket was very good,... Mac and cheese was good. A little different as there is a little cayenne powder in it to spice it. Paid $27 for a rack of ribsthat were mushy, grey, and fell right off the bone. For those who know, you don?t want ?fall off the bone? ribs. Chicken wasjust OK. Read more
