Where to begin? The iced tea and lemonade (Arnold Palmer) tasted oddly of cinnamon. Not what we had in mind. They brought... bread after we asked them if we too, could have some. One semi-toasted slice arrived with a nugget of rather chilly butter. Weasked if we could have one more please and they obliged us. My grilled Caesar salad arrived. It was a chilly affair consistingof a pile of lengthwise romaine lettuce leaves....they were full length, not torn up at all. I was surprised to discover agenerous stack of sliced onions loitering just below the surface, as though they were trying to remain out of sight. Off to oneside was the dressing, a small pile of something from a jar perhaps. Three or four sliced cherry tomatoes managed to stowaway onthe plate as well. There was a candied slice of bacon on the plate as well. What I didn't see were grill marks of any I kind. The limp lettuce escaped the fire unscathed. My wife had the onion soup done two ways. The yin&yang shaped bowl heldconventional French onion soup with an already cooled slab of once hot cheese on top. The other side was purported to be a creambased onion soup that we were assured was certainly not thick. Well...yes it was. The entire luke warm affair only stayed on thetable for a short while until the server thankfully took it away. My wife was looking forward to the duck breast and polenta. The duck arrived underseasoned and overdone. The polenta was quite probably from a boxed mix. My stuffed sole arrived coveredin some sort of orange sauce that I don't recall being told about. It too, was underseasoned. The fish seemed kind of dry on theoutside and only just barely cooked on the inside (it was a rolled filet). The filling was to be shrimp and scallops and if itwas, they were so minced as to be fairly undetectable. The accompanying Brussels sprouts were technically done, but could havebeen far more tender. The risotto was unremarkable. All in all, a disappointing meal that cost us o Read more

Ribeye and strip steak were delicious, and the apple fritter dessert was to die for. Great anniversary dinner.

Excellent food... some unique dishes that were delicious... the Onion soup is to die for and it's almost a meal by itself. The... fish fry was worth the trip there. But our waitress was very non-attentive. I think it depended on if she knew you or not ifyou got the dinner rolls that were supposed to come with the meal.... I look forward to going back there but I will ask for adifferent waitress!!! I watched another customer go to the bar and complain about her. Other than that it's a great restaurantwith great food and a great atmosphere. Read more

My family and I (four people) made a reservation for 8pm to celebrate important milestones in our lives. When we arrived there... was no other customers there, except for 2 people at the bar. The 4th person in our party was running late, and we let theserver know this when we sat down, that we may be taking his meal to go instead. However the server asked multiple times whenthe fourth person would arrive because “they close when the last person is done” even though online it listed 10pm… at8:30 we just ordered the meal to go so he would stop asking. My husband ordered Jamaican Jerk chicken, they served a chickenbreast with barbecue sauce..no jerk seasoning. I ordered the Cajun shrimp and Mac and cheese, the noodles were mush and theshrimp also had no seasoning…the meal we ordered to go was a Filet and the kitchen was out so the server said they wouldsubstitute for a ribeye, and still charged us the 45 dollars for the filet. At approximately 9 we paid the bill, and the serverasked if we would like dessert “to go”, again feeling rushed when they clearly weren’t busy. It was also a Saturdaynight…my mom ordered the blueberry cheesecake bread pudding. In her words it tasted like a “dirty dish sponge”. Thereviews made the place seem nice, the menu sounded good, and it’s a nice looking country restaurant on the outside, but theyrushed us through the meal, and the food was at best sub par. We like to support local restaurants/ businesses as we understandeveryone is struggling right now, but I doubt we’ll be back Read more

My handsome man took me out to Colden Mill for Valentines day. The venue was super cute, rustic, and had a one page menu with... some great options. The crab cake was delicious and our meals were both fantastic. It was a very intimate atmosphere and therewas seating on the main floor and a small balcony overlooking the main room. The service was great and we really enjoyed ourmeals and each other while we were there. Read more

A mill over a stream s transformed into a lovely restaurant. The limited menu provides sound choices. The dining room and bar... are spectacular. The view from the deck is magnificent. Read more
