It was very busy, but the staff was pleasant, friendly, and provided outstanding service. The bacon wrapped scallops were... delicious, with a nice maple flavor. We also enjoyed the beer cheese and pretzel burger. The special brussel sprouts withmaple bacon came out overcooked and charred. However they more than adequately handled the issue, with the second serving beingperfectly cooked and very delicious. We absolutely love everything about the black bear! Both the riverside cabins and the rooms upstairs are perfect, the staff is... beyond friendly, and full of suggestions for trail riding! Being right on the main trails system is perfect location! We stayhere in the winter for snowmobiling, and spring/summer/fall for ATV riding and are never dissapointed! We had dinner twice here while staying in Colebrook. The staff offered a warm welcome and the waitresses we're good fun. Fresh... stuffed halibut one night was excellent and prime rib the other night came rare as requested. Super dessert options if you saveroom. Read more
