Milk&Honey has been on my list of places to try. My family and I finally had a chance to visit and it was pretty good. The staff... were friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. I gave them 4 stars because the chicken was clearly burnt and our chicken & waffleplate was sitting on the counter while the rest of our food finished cooking. We ordered the Strawberry fried biscuits to-go andthey didn't disappoint. They taste like a funnel cake. Overall, a nice restaurant but not worth all the hype behind it. Great food, customer service, and atmosphere. The food I ordered was delicious. The only small complaint per my boyfriend is... that the waffles were too thick and heavy of batter but they had great flavor. My fried salmon was soooo good and cookedperfectly. Everything was pretty much on point. I?d recommend to get there before 10am on weekends because it gets really busy.Love this place and would visit again soon. Read more
I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I heard weekends have long waits. Picked a day during week right before... closing. Quick service! I wasn't sure what I wanted to try so the hostess was helpful in offering suggestions. Went with awardwinning shrimp and grits. It was a generous portion for me. Quite delicious. The food is top notch! Everything we ordered tasted great and was well made. It's a small place with nice decor and a great... atmosphere. It's well decorated and makes you feel comfortable. Service does need some help. Our waitress was hard to find attimes, like for refills, missing items, and issues with the bill. We would often wave down another server. The food took a whileto arrive, which can be understandable but we watched it sit after cooking and couldn't find the waitress anywhere. I went to Milk & Honey on 2 different occasions this past week. I enjoyed both. I was afraid they would be busy during both... times but that wasn?t the case (Wednesday and Friday Night). The food takes a bit of time to be prepared so patience is avirtue. The hot honey wings were awesome (3 per order). The blackened salmon blt was on point. I was surprised. The Berry French Toast was the best. It?s the only menu item that sets this place apart from others. The chicken wings had great... flavor but I wish they were fried harder, too wet for my taste. Hubby didn?t enjoy waffle too much. Bacon was flappy and notcrispy. Coffee tasted burnt. Pancakes are huge as the menu says. It?s just odd to have 2 ginormous pancakes for $11 that oneperson cannot possibly eat, but charge the same for a waffle. The service was great. The decor is pretty and ample parking. 1hr wait for indoor seating on a Sunday afternoon. It appears as though dining capacity has decreased due to COVID. Nevertheless... we waited the 1hr to be seated. The honey lemon pepper wings are amazing! Catfish and grits and salmon Benedict were prettygood. Service was bit slow but given the circumstances I didn?t complain. Wow - the main dish that I had (hit honey chicken biscuit) was REALLY good! Might be the best hot honey chicken I?ve had. It was... fried the perfection and was the perfect balance or sweet and spicy. The biscuits were soft and sweet too! The food did takeover 30 mins to come out though and the hash browns needed salt added but other than that the menu is really inviting and I?lldefinitely come back to try the other main dishes!
