I have eaten here many times before in the past and it was very good. That is obviously a thing of the past!! I had the worst... restaurant experience there tonight that I have had in many years and my experience definitely warranted this review! Fulldisclosure- we arrived 30-40 minutes before closing. Food - horrible Staff - horrible Cleanliness- horrible As soon as wewalked in the door we should have left! The entire restaurant stunk like dirty bar mats and week old dirty mop water!! Thestaff was very unwelcoming when we arrived and the waitress apparently had zero interest in serving us. Waited forever fordrinks and had to ask for chips to be brought to the table! Finally got to order an appetizer- Queso Flamado with beef fajitameat. ~ This was the first dish to arrive cold!! The cold fajita meat was placed on top of warm cheese. I brought this to theattention of the manager ?Mario??. Mario grabs a piece of meat with his hands and says it?s kinda warm and then eats the meat hepicked up from my plate!! Remember, we?re talking about just served fajita meat!! The meat should be HOT!! Not cold, cool, orwarm. The manager Mario decides to put our appetizer in the microwave to warm it up and bring it back!! We finally get toorder?. The food comes out wrong?. but we decided to just go ahead and eat. Enchiladas ~ cold / soggy Rice - cold Tacos ~ cold/ dry / and stale Tortillas for appetizer ~ cold / hard edges. Everything about this meal was horrible!!! The staff-horrible The food ~ horrible The stinky building ~ horrible This is definitely not the place that it used to be! I will nevereat hear again!! I think this place might have given me food poisoning tonight. Brazos County Health Department shoulddefinitely inspect this place!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY, YOUR TIME, YOUR TASTEBUDS, AND YOUR HEALTH!!! It was very good tex-mex! The prickly pear margaritas was amazing!! Also the fried flour tortillas with the queso sooo good!!!
For starters this place is very disappointing? First we got plastic ware to eat with, we received our food 10 minutes after... ordering. Food was definitely pre made the queso was cold and hardened. We ordered stuffed avocados and it was only half of anavocado and the rest was stuffed with cheese and a few beef pieces. The food is very bland not worth what the price is. Thewaiter was non-existent and didn?t check on us not once after asking him for napkins and salsa which we never received also wedidn?t see him until we asked for our check and yet it took him 10 minutes to get that together and I understand I wasn?t theonly customer there but he was hanging out at the bar on his phone. It's a fairly standard Tex-Mex place. Not bad at all, and it has been there forever so they're doing something right, but it... doesn't really stand out in any way. It's fine. Nice staff, ok food, just not amazing. Read more
