average in general, good wine list. we had grilled octopus which not bad to start; tender but need more taste; the home fries... was outstanding. the salad is not fresh but the dressings r well balanced. GF has seafood pasta; heavy on garlic and the pastais over cooked. My 8 oz sirloin was disappointing if this is a CHOPHOUSE!!!!!! it was i over cooked as i asked for medium rare,the server gave me a new one, which perfectly cooked. however i guess the cut itself not a good one. a bit chewy and not wellprep. not even AAA quality. Our server is professional and clever enough that taken the sirloin off from my bill. Conveniently located in the lobby of my favourite Collingwood Hotel Gustav offers a wide selection of menu options. From... breakfast to dinner and cocktails into the evening Gustav is a great place to enjoy a nice meal. An extensive list ofappetizers appealed to me immediately. The restaurant is right opposite the reception desk of the hotel. The ambience was nice and quiet for a restaurant being in a... hotel. We ordered a t bone steak with sweet potato fries, this would have been super delicious if the t bone was not 30% burnt.The other meal was rack of lamb with garlic mash potatoes, it was very bland no seasoning whatsoever, salt would have taken ita notch . OMG! I don't know where to start! Three of us ordered 7 appetizers and shared. Food was innovative and used unique ingredients... to create an experience that we can't wait to repeat! This was one of the top 10 meals I've ever had! Our server (a Ryan Reynolds look a-like) was just super, perfect service, very... attentive. Our appetizers were incredible, escargot and beef tartare. The mains, Prime Rib Beef Stroganoff Pappardelle and aflatbread were so flavourful, so beautifully presented, it was just incredible! Breakfast: very fresh, did some omelette customizations and good prices, especially with 10% discount if staying inside hotel.... On a bad side not enough tables or staff. Make reservation and be patient. Dinner: sat at the lounge, so could order from bothrestaurant and lounge. Food was pretty good, catch of the day was tasty I just with there was a bit more of it.
