Place is beautiful inside?very nice building and you can see the kitchen upstairs through glass. The food was just ok here for... the price. I ordered bbq pork ribs and it was 100% an Asian flavour?almost like eating a jar of hoisin sauce and very salty,almost unbearable. We also had a steak and it was not very tasty. The rib meal was a huge portion but the steak meal not somuch. Not sure we will be going here again. Maybe other things are good on the menu? Read more
Atmosphere was a dark and intimate. Beautiful building. Food was tasty but portions on the small side.
We just had ordered 2 soups which were good but the crouton in the soup were stale! 2 lamb burgers came out under cook which we... were never asked how we want them cooked. Server took them back to be re done and we waited another 30 minutes! But, It wasn?tworth to wait. For $24 you expect better food! And on top of this we served warm water I think they need reconsider how to traintheir whole staff! Read more
I had dinner here last night with a group of colleagues and everything was fabulous. Delicious food, amazing wine and cocktail... selections, friendly and attentive service, great atmosphere. Place was buzzing and had a very cool, almost piano-bar-like vibefor a downtown steakhouse which I really enjoyed. I don?t live in the area so I?m not sure when I?ll be back next but I?dcertainly love to dine here again. I?ll at least recommend it to those vacationing in Collingwood! Read more
Nice location and the menu is great. I ordered the sea bass which was the special for the night. I started eating it and the... dish was cold. I thought because we were waiting for a while it may have cooled down. The more I ate and got closer to the bonesthe fish would stick to the bone rather than flaking off as seafood usually do so I stopped eating it . Eventually I figured outthat the fish was not fully cooked which is why it was cold and not separating from the bones. The restaurant made up for itafter mentioning it to the server. The atmosphere was really nice and the servers were friendly. However, the service was incredibly slow, despite being half empty... at lunchtime. Furthermore, the food was dreadful. We had the Prime 79 Burger and it was totally well done and dry. We also hadthe Chicken and Bacon Sammy and it was dry and bland. Basically everything was overcooked. The server clearly knew there was aproblem since he did not come to ask us how the food was. Fortunately, he did come and refill our drinks when we were mostlythrough the meal so that we could finish choking it all down. For a $20 lunch, I expected better. Total disappointment. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC PLACE. We were in the area for the weekend and we will be returning just to come here again. Food was... fantastic but I have to shout out the service here. Our first experience with Lara was so good we came back the next day forlunch. She once again treated us with the best service. The gentleman in the kitchen shucked us some fresh oysters after we sawhim on the patio and oh my gosh they were fantastic. Drinks are delicious, fresh and FANTASTIC. Also a bit shout out to theowner who clearly takes pride and treats her restaurant with love. She was outside helping the girls, seating customers andcatering to a cute little pups needs (just a bowl of water and moving umbrellas to make sure he was shaded). This stood out forme the most.
