Cannot recommend highly enough! My husband and I made a reservation for our anniversary about a week out. We were visiting from... out of town so got a little nervous when we arrived and saw a ?no dine in? sign on the door. We went in to check it out and theowner explained they didn?t have a server so they were only doing take out BUT he had set a table for us with a reserved sign onit since it was a special occasion. We enjoyed an intimate and delicious anniversary dinner and Ian went above and beyond tomake our meal the most memorable anniversary to date! The quality was just like buying cold refrigerated sushi from the supermarket but I paid premium price for it. I ordered blue... mountain roll which has tempura shrimp in it but the rice and the shrimp were both cold. The tempura shrimp batter was soft andcold like it was just taken out of the fridge. The spicy salmon roll was cold and the tempura crispy bits were all mushy. Ithink they used refrigerated rice instead of fresh rice for all the sushi. We have been eating sushi for decades and have ordered from many different places in Toronto over the years. This was our first... time ordering Sushi up North, and it was hugely disappointing. We ordered what we always order, but nothing we picked up fromSushi Hon was recognizable visually or taste-wise. Loads of strange sauces on everything. We found most of it inedible. Read more
Our first dinner in Collingwood and this place set the bar high!! The sushi was so delicious. Easily in our top 5 sushi... restaurants and we've been to a bunch of restaurants in Vancouver and Toronto. We had the Spicy BC, Valentine, Hon Dynamite andCrispy Temp. Take out only due to covid. They do not have the option for delivery. We arrived when they said the food will be ready, however... we had to wait an extra 15 mins. Ordered the sushi medium boat - 48 pieces for $59.95. Sushi was fresh and tasted very good. Thesoy sauce was very salty and they didn?t have the option to get a low sodium soy sauce. Read more
Miso soup was good but not filled to the top. Salad was nice. Calamari was ok, I have had better but this was take out,might... have been better eating in which wasn?t possible. Sushi pieces aren?t large but the taste is on point. Lots of ginger andwasabi was strong. Only open four days a week and short hours at the time of this review. 30 min wait. A rare find located in the heart of Collingwood. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. The food was excellent and... the menu offered a ton of delights! We all enjoyed thoroughly! Thanks for an amazing experience! Read more
I've only ever had takeout but every time I am so impressed. Everything is always delicious, fresh, and the prices are decent... for the portions and quality. The salmon aburi oshi is my favourite item on the menu! Read more
