I try to be honest in my reviews, I wanna give this place a 5* but the server in me just can't. I walked in and was completely... ignored. Hostess stood right by the menus, made eye contact with me and didn't say a word. 2 guys walked in a bit after me andshe immediately acknowledged them and asked how many in their party. I had to interrupt and state that I was he first, so Iwould appreciate being seated first. The restaurant was steady but not super busy. This was a lunch rush on a Saturday so I cansympathize....a little. Server got to me quickly. While I waited for my food I noticed them filling the salad bar. They didn'trotate anything. The guy would bring stuff out and pour the new stuff on top. Which is a no-no. When my food came out, it wasfresh and hot. You could tell the Taziki sauce was homemade. I do wish the cucumber pieces were a little smaller, it should be asauce that you can easily spread, not chunky. Read more

Ordered a large Pizza, fries, and a trip to the salad bar. Pizza was thin crust and crispy, just how I like. The crust Edge was... super narrow, so there was room for more cheese and toppings. The pizza was piping hot and served on a large pan. All thevegetables on the salad bar were colorful and high quality. The service and family atmosphere was nice. The owner thanked usfor coming. Our server was Erin, and she did a fantastic job. She was full of helpful information about the city, and she musthave stopped at our table 8 times to ask if we needed anything. Reminds me of the way restaurants use to treat customers beforethe corporate chains started. We will definitely put it on our list as a go-to. It?s the perfect place to take a large groupas they have some large tables on one side. Read more

I?m sometimes torn when it comes to old favorites. When you come back to a place that is largely unchanged from 20+ years ago?.... It?s like putting on your favorite old shoes. They are scuffed and such but feel nice. That?s this place. A few new items andnew prices, and a few new faces? but same great product. Thanks for adding some of the local brewery items. There are somethings that are a little tired, but it?s always busy family place. Read more

I was asked why I always run to G&D when I come into town. The customer service is spectacular, I feel like family! The pizza... below was half-baked and frozen. I then wrapped it and froze for 4 days before I set flight to Seattle, Washington. My familythere has not had G&D pizza in over 10 years. They stated it taste just as if they were at the restaurant. It's the small thingsthat make a huge difference! Thank you G&D! You are the best! Read more

We've been twice, once in July 2019 (dined in) and last night, April 2022 (carryout). Both times the service was fantastic and... friendly, and the food was really really good. Gyro/salad in 2019 was perfect. Last night we grabbed a pizza (pepperoni andbacon) to eat in the car on the way to STL. It was good fresh, room temp, and reheated again the next morning. That's the signof a really good pizza. Read more
