College bar with plenty of seating. Fun rooftop bar with great specials. Great place to watch the game.
my friends and i came in for their $2 tuesday special. first off, we sat down and never got waited on. we went up to the bar to... get our own drinks and had to walk up to a waitress to put in a food order. our bill was $2, and no tip was added since we didnot get served at our table. about 20 minutes later, the waitress brings out our food in togo boxes and tells us that thebouncer needs to check our id's. she walks away quickly and the bouncer informs us that we needed to leave. we asked why and hetold us it was because we didn't tip the waitress. with two full drinks wasted and our togo food, we left. i'm very disappointedwith the customer service and hostility in this establishment. why should i tip when i was never waited on? if i fully paid mybill and gave them business, why am i being kicked out? will never give another dollar to harpo's. if you don't want to getkicked out, make sure to tip. they make it an option but in reality you don't have a choice. Harpo's was a $hit show for the Mizzou vs Arkansas game. ONE bartender for the entire bar. Thirty people waiting for a drink at... 11:30 on game day. Waitresses could not get a drink for table service. I feel sorry for all the waitresses because thebartender would not pour them ANY drinks. We waited for 30 minutes for a drink. WE NEVER GOT A DRINK. WE WALKED OUT. Harpo'sowners and management should be ashamed of this staffing. If you could not serve any drink, sodas included, you should havenot even opened your doors for this day. Read more
Some kid ripped my shirt off and then I got kicked out for having a torn shirt immediately after ordering $50 worth of drinks, I... wasn?t allowed to drink them or change shirts and come back, I was sober and the bouncers were unbelievably mean and notunderstanding, I will never come here again and will speak poorly about it to everyone who mentions it Read more
We enjoyed some appetizers and drinks. This is your classic college bar and hangout. Our server was a little underexperienced,... but was friendly and helpful. The wings and nachos were stellar. Read more
It was parents weekend and because of that, Harpos decided to price gauge!! I have never heard of paying a cover charge to get... in a restaurant to. This gal won?t and didn?t. A guy taking a smoke break said he had to pay $4.00 to get in an hour before wehad arrived. They were trying to charge our party of 4 $20.00 each! Ridiculous and frankly very upsetting in this economy. Not only that but the two boys working the front door were rude and mouthy! Read more
Great atmosphere after the game. Obviously, since there were 1000 people there. If you don't mind waiting for a table and enjoy... hanging out with friends, this is a place for you. The nachos were excellent, and for the amount of people there, our food ordercame quickly. Would definitely go back. Read more
Rude staff and overhype. I went there with my friends for a good time and it was not it. Theres a lot of places that dont care... about their customers but this place is one of the worst ive seen. Bad service and weak drinks. This business was opened for thesole reason of taking advantage of the unsuspecting customer. Avoid at all costs. Read more
