Our daughter son-in-law and my husband and I went to Hy-Vee for the veterans breakfast. Great food and very good staff.
Big, clean stores, good variety, friendly associates. A. bit pricier than Walmart, but less expensive than Schnucks.
John C is not a pleasant cashier to customers. I was checking out in his lane and handed him my money in his hand as he returned... my change he put it on the counter with my receipt. I than stated can you put money in my hand like I did you. He proceeded totell me people like it on the counter because money is dirty. I was thrown by this response. I shop at all the HyVee in Columbiabut never had such a poor experience like this. It wasn't a happy smile in every aisle on this day. Please do better. Read more
I used to love shopping at this grocery store. I hadn?t been back for a while but I?m definitely not going back anytime soon if... ever. I felt super uncomfortable with the security guard staring at me as I checked out. My guy, you sell GROCERIERS here. Whyis there a need for security? It?s not necessary for me to elaborate on why someone who looks like me would feel uncomfortablein this situation but the fact that I do means I need to leave this review. This just feels unsafe. We ordered our wedding cake from Baker Paula at Hy-vee on Nifong and the cake was beautiful and delicious! The cake looked like... Mediterranean tiles to fit in with our wedding theme and had a wonderful raspberry filling. There weren't a lot of leftovers! Read more
Pretty expensive but the service there is really good and they tend to still have stuff on their shelves while other stores in... the area have been ransacked by college students. There's great variety in their liquor department in the prices in thatdepartment are pretty reasonable. The quality of their meat and their baked goods is very good. In some cases you get what youpay for. Overall I give it a 4.25 out of five. Read more

Always great place to shop, was the best place in town to get orange chicken (till panda arrived!) Still closer to our end of... town, so a good place to get stuff on this side of town. Read more
